Yeah, and the GTR lets you go fast without much driver ability or experience. All the driver nannies add weight. Safety is a concern as well, I am sure a GTR is pretty safe as far as fast cars go. But who knows, I don't think they crash test high level sports cars.

The NSX is still fat. I feel like people don't realize how heavy they are lol. The only model under 3000lbs was the NSX-R.

Listed weight for the NSX-R was 2,711lbs, the normal NSX in 1992 was 2,976lbs.

In Japan.

The USDM 1992 NSX with manual transmission is 3,010lbs.

I have, and agree...great car. Even though I would NOT want a Lotus (2000 lbs.) very long for street duty. It's a dumb but willing skinny chick that's only good for one thing. I'm old. I still prefer my "fat(er) chick" at 2780 lbs. She's got curves in the right places, doesn't embarrass you in front of friends and knows how to cook.

Meh, depends who you believe, plenty of guys on NSX prime corner balance thread were in the 2800-2900 range with USDM NSX's, some were over 3,000 depending on what they had in the trunk, how full the fuel was, etc. I guess it depends on options.

I drove my RX8 for over 11 years. It felt light and well balanced the entire time and not once felt heavy.

The 8 feels really fat after getting out of a 2,200lb Miata. Even just pulling out of the garage, you can feel it.

Id like to drive one of those new Factory Five 818 kit cars. Supposed weight of 1800 pounds and Subaru WRX running gear good for 250-300 HP. Sounds like a blast of a car.

Here is one with a Miata's rollerskate. Looks great, easy to boost to the ~250whp range. Weight is around 1,600lbs.

Flyin' Miata : Catfish kits

I bet a 2,200 lb miata would feel heavy getting out of that. Doesn't make the miata heavy.

Again, the Miata would be average chick with a little meat on her bones and the catfish would be the hot athletic chick.

I feel how heavy it is every morning when I get into my daily which is a 98' Integra GSR. But I love driving the 8 much more of course.

I can't see paying 30K for a small Focus like that. I still like two doors.

This threat is a great reason that there has been no discussion of the new Focus - most of us are distracted by the fact that there are much better cars on the road.
