rear end like a cobalt? the cobalt is more like a old gtr. full circle. its hard to compare the gtr to a vette or porsche the gtr is so much mroe of an oddity looks at all the past designs that are all kind of out there as far as style.

If it's price in the same territory as the new M3, then BMW may have a problem. Yes, the M3 is more aesthetically pleasing but the GT-R does have the upper hand in performance, at least on Paper. What was the M3's time around nurburgring?

I captured the GTR's GT5 unveil on video.
http://www.driversnotebook.com/files/gt5/gtr_unveil.wmv
The rest are virtual test drives. Sorry about the sound. It was very early in the morning (EST) synchronized with the unveil in Tokyo Motor Show.
1st cut: GT-R unveil
2nd cut: GT-R cockpit
3rd cut: IS-F cockpit (annoyingly high dash)
4th cut: Atenza cockpit
I also have a video of STi virtual cockpit if anyone's interested.

ahh... there a post on line that show 7:38
What's up with the front big flares and nothing on the rear quarter pannels?
Looks unfinshed.
And that GTR on the steering wheel has got to go.
Way too large. Perfer not to have it at all.

You guys have to wait for rendition 2. Nissan M.O is to bring out the better version after 2-2.5 years. That is there trend.... I wouldn't buy this first rendition if i was in the market for this car. Granted this GT-R will be awesome, but alot of first time buyers will be very sour when version 2.0 comes with small upgrade in power, diffrent interior, revised fascia, wheels etc. They did it to the Maxima, Altima, Z, Sentra, etc... and if that is the trend , i bet you they will do it to this car.

Heinous
In my opinion, the Nissan is the ugliest vehicle I have seen in a while. I can't believe Car & Driver rated it ahead of a Porsche 911 Turbo (which accelerates quicker). Not a fan of the techno-boy racer loosk or the techno-babble driver augmentation that removes the fun from driving. Give me my RX-8 anyday.
