This is it guys. The GT-R
After months of spy shots and drip-fed teasers Nissan’s all new GT-R super-coupe has been revealed with the early release of the December issue of MotorTrend. The tagline on the magazine’s cover claims the car is as fast as the Porsche 911 Turbo and is priced less than $80,000, confirming rumors the new GT-R will set a new standard in bang-for-your-buck comparisons. Other details include the GT-R’s acceleration time of 3.5 seconds for the 0-60mph and 11.7 seconds for the quarter mile. Top speed is claimed to be a staggering 192mph. Although we still don’t have any official details about the car’s new drivetrain, most are expecting to see a 3.8L V6 engine fed by a pair of turbochargers and mated to a dual-clutch gearbox with the latest ATESSA all-wheel drive setup. The car should measure in at 4,650mm in length and 1,920mm across. There’s rumored to be three different flavors of the new GT-R, starting with a 450hp entry-level model and ranging up to a 530hp flagship. This latter version is expected to be a stripped out racer with plenty of carbon-fiber and a track-tuned suspension. Stay tuned for the flood of official details and images once the car is revealed at next week’s Tokyo Motor Show. |

damn.... repost all you want! that car is sick looking!... thought it wouldnt look good as the original concept...lol. i guess i was wrong!
|
It looks AWESOME...until you look at it from the side and it looks like its a broken Corvette.
|
It's just plain SICK.
|
Like MM said, looks great till you see the side.. FAIL! And the interior is disgusting also..
|
I kinda like the inside. Lux-style, yo!
Get used to the idea of slush-boxes. The manual gear shift will soon be a thing of the past. |

A tad out of my price range, and the interior is pug fugly, but overall pretty sweet. I'd love to pwn a n00b or two in that thing. |
I agree that the interior is heinous.
|
I could live with the interior. Seats look good.
That thing is pretty sweet. They used the RPM/Speedo combo that the RX-8 has. Now I want one even more. |

I like it. If the Kabura is not a Rotary I'm down for a used one :)
|
I still like the R34. But this one is growing on me...
|
... i love this stunning exterior look..
i would consider this concurrent to my e92 but shit.. you guys gotta admit.. the interior sucks ass. and if you say it dont matter.. think about it.. when you are enjoying the car.. you are INSIDE.. (why i got 8 also, ext/int FABULOUSly ATTRACTIVE) ... thats my opinion :) i would consider this car.. if they do the interior.. |
I Want It!!!!
|
I love this car!, except, as leon mentioned, the interior, but I guess its suiting for a race car........holy god this car just looks sick!! ( the side shot looks wierd though)
god I would consider this over a 997 :) |
I think the interior is fine. It's a Nissan for crying out loud. The seats look comfortable and you have a Logitech game controller for a steering wheel. Plus, what I'm enjoying about my car is sometimes the interior (as with my old audi or even my old merc) but more importantly is the sound system, the climate control and the sound of the engine/exhaust. And I don't know about you all, but when I drive I look out windows and my speedometer/steering wheel and maybe my radio.
|
the rear end of the car looks the best IMO!
|
i second that....i pruise this forum and the z forum even more so to droll over the images reports opinions, but i rarely have my own opinion. i wonder if godzilla has star struck me...

That 3/4 front view is impressive because it indicates that the car has a sort of graceful smoothness to the sharp edges. I didn't think it would look that smooth.
The side shots accentuate the hard edges and make the car look weird again. But my prediction is that when seen in person, the side view will soften and smooth out somewhat. It will look the "roundest" in black. The interior is truly unique. You must respect it for that alone. This might be the first Nissan interior, aside from the M sedan, that is acceptable. The details are plenty and they not only look high quality but over-the-top at the same time. Wow. I just hope the materials won't feel cheap and, in person, the dash won't feel weird in a truck sort of way (because it kind of looks like it could belong in a truck!). The last thing you want is to be racing a 911 turbo feeling like you're in a freaking truck. Rear seats like ours and a bigger trunk. Hmm. |
that front bar looks awfully similar to the Evo X

You know, I was almost going to mention that the front end is done BETTER than the front end of the Mitsubishi.
|
Yeah but this one has been out long before the Lancer. I love the ass of the RX-8. But on this one I love the side view yum.
