Fords Plans for Focus RS
I liked the original RS and I like the current ST...but this blows them both out the water.
Ford is rumoured to be considering a 350bhp, four-wheel-drive, six-cylinder turbocharged proposal for the next-generation Focus RS. Right now the Blue Oval’s executives at the company’s headquarters in Cologne, Germany are considering a plan to fit Ford’s new flagship hot hatch, due out in 2007, with a new turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine.
CLick for more info.
If only we could get cool stuff.

Europe will get that one, America will get the plain old Focus with an optional "Rally Package" which will include lame graphics, possibly racing stripes, different "sport" wheels (hubcaps?) that are the same size as the stockers, and about 120 face-liquefying horses.
You know, you'd think we'd get the good stuff here seeing as Ford is an American company.

Who is going to pay $30k+ for a car and still be proud to say they drive a Focus anything with a straight face in the US? People are too concerned with image here, it's the same reason that most people have problems with the STi and Evo. Because they are based on an economy-based car and cost more that $10k, doesn't matter what they can do, it's a matter of what will I look the best in, sad really
That plus this thing would rip the new Mustang a new a-hole and we certainly wouldn't want that

Crappy car that would whomp everyone's behind including in the corners. Heck the Focus RS is kick ***. Besides, the European Focus has better quality than the American Focus.
Oh well...

I think Ford may be positioning that new Focus RS to compete with Audi's new RS3. Both are AWD hatches with a projected 350hp. I think the Audi is a TT V6 though.
