That is the time that you spend without ANY traction. Anyway having two clutches means that you have to disengage one (partial traction during that time), move it aside and engage the other one. It's not as on-off as with tingle clutches in real life.
It's like talking about the veyron as the best supercar... maybe it is on paper but what about real life?

It's a computer it doesn't want to do anything. It follows it's programming. The good ones won't just grab a new gear if you don't instruct it too. I've bounced an M3 with SMG off the rev limiter for a good while on the race track.

yep, i agree with you on that. shifting is just plain old fun.
