Just an update on TSB's for the CX-5..
I guess it was to be executed being 'all new', but boy, they are flooding in..
Around 25+ TSB's so far..
From, rattles, to leaks, to tail gate opener getting water inside and not working, seat rattles, MIL Lights (CEL) DTC, Brake warning light, Parking sensor issues, CAN com errors......it goes on and on..
And No I am not going to list them all..

Yup, that is true. Exactly what my dealer told me. THe unit itself practically looks like an SD card reader located on the right left hand side (LHD's) where the traction control button is near. The included SD card covers the North American continent and clearly states that.

Best compact SUV for $25,000?
Summary:
A review for a couple with a 2001 Chevy Tracker and 2001 Oldsmobile Alero gave the CX-5 low marks for handling....
That and power relegated it to 2nd place of 6.

Handling. "The Escape, Tucson and Sportage out-cornered it," says Thomas.

The only repeated CX-5 complaints I've seen involve the mirrors and hood vibrating at speed, and the seat clips occasionally come loose at the edges.
The FT86 people seem to be having some serious engine issues, not to mention a huge list of quality problems (misaligned body panels, various rattles, paint flaking off, speaker grills popping out, etc.).

FT86, Wow..there are quit a few issues, some are just poor assembly/design, yes I do know that all cars have issues, but for an all new model assembled by FHI (Subaru), I would have expected better, it looks like it was rushed into production.
Just confirms my opinion about ANY all new car..if you can wait for the next gen or major update, do so.

Mazda Australia sale record July...again! CX-5 #1, Mazda 3 #1
Mazda Australia has posted its best ever July result with 7,951 new cars sold last month and remains on target for another record-breaking year.
According to VFACTS figures released today, last month's result beat Mazda's previous best July total, set in 2010, by more than 600 vehicles. The result is almost 14 per cent ahead of the same month last year.
Mazda's Year-To-Date (YTD) sales performance remains on record pace, having sold 60,084 cars through to July 31, an increase of 18.3 per cent on last year. Mazda has 9.5 per cent market share.
The Mazda3 maintained its place as Australia's number one car, with 3,355 sold in July and 25,168 so far this year - giving the stylish model an 18.2 per cent share of the small car under $40,000 segment.
The All-New Mazda CX-5 again topped the Medium SUV segment with 1,483 sales. So far this year, Australian new cars buyers have taken home 8,040 CX-5s.
The enduring appeal of the Mazda2 saw Mazda's little hatch notch up its 38th consecutive month of more than 1000 sales, securing 1272 retails last month.
Sales figures for the Mazda BT-50 also continued to rise. July's result of 1,011 is the fifth time this year the BT-50 utility has sold over 1,000 vehicles in a month. Year-to-date sales of 4x4 variants of BT-50 have increased by 95 per cent.
With the Mazda2, Mazda3, CX-5 and the BT-50 all selling strongly, Mazda is looking forward to further strong sales and market growth with the addition of new models including the upcoming All-New Mazda6.
Mazda Australia Managing Director, Doug Dickson said, "We are delighted with customer support for our whole Mazda range.
And there is more to come with an all-new Mazda6 arriving next year to keep the momentum going."

Car and Driver Mag ranked the CX-5 first over the new CR-V (2nd), Escape, RAV4, Sportage and Tuscon.
It had a significant margin of victory. Absolutely great dynamics.
