What are your thoughts on Certified Pre-owned programs? worth the extra money? I'm specifically looking at BMW's which offers a 50,000 mile or 2 year warranty extension to the original warranty.

 

VW's CPO plan cost them close to $3,000 over the two years/24k miles that I owned my CPO 1999 Passat GLS.

That was the best car I ever hated.

 

I was also looking into the preowned BMW deal. They have great rates, 2.9 or 3.9 depending on which car. The only problem is that the cars are really expensive. But I would have gotten a preowned x5 if the 8 didnt have such a shitty resale value.
