I know this is old. But I would pay 90k for a Spirit even though I know I could go buy a GTR for 89k and stomp the **** out of it.
But I am a true RX7 Lover and the Car would remain stock in my hands and would be collected, babied, and driven only when the planets aligned lol.
I think what a lot of people do wrong when they choose their cars, the forget the valve and fun it is to have a rare one. From CYM to Lighting yellow 8s to Shinkas. You just dont run into one everyday. And I am sure the number of Spirit Rs on USA soil is less then 10. out of 1500 ever made. For something like that, cost doesnt matter. Its a collectors car like your 69 gt500 or 69 ss camaro. Its ment to be factory, original, beautiful.

Hell, reading through that about some of the Spirit R's auctioned off there ultimately is inspiring. Heck, I'd autocross it and such, and enjoy it even if it's not street legal.
But that guy, I had seen his sig before about it being a Replica, but I didn't know it was that good of one, wow.

Haha. HAY FELLAS WHATS GOING ON IN THIS THREAD?
I'm certainly flattered by the compliments guys. I can't wait to post pics of the engine bay tag installed and when I finally get the Spirit R seats.
Actually, someone in the US claimed to have one but it ended up being an RS model or something. It's unfortunate but I don't think there are any in the states at all. A whole bunch are in Australia. You have to figure, out of the 1500, how many were Type As.
