The 1991 Le Mans 787B thread!

I did a brief search for simliar thread, couldnt find one, this legendary race car is talked a lot on the forum, but there is not a single thread that is dedicated to it, I guess I'll start by sharing with you guys an awesome video I just found.

I think it was made RECENTLY, its got good video quality and by far the BEST sound quality of any 787B video, they recorded it from track side and INside the cockpit.

Enjoy rotorheads

we were told that it would never return to the US after Sevenstock 7. We'll see if it's true.

I am a bit partial to the 792P also. This is bit of a plug but I am looking forward to this book which I believe should have some indepth analysis of the 792.

This is a better one for "proper" high speed stuff. Much better impression of a race car.

info on the rx-792p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_RX-792P

I got the tail fin from that car at SSX

I have some great pics of this car in acction at work if anybody wants then ill post them on monday, they are low res pics, it is really hard to find pics of this car racing, it only race for one seasson and mazda was not in a really good $$ situation but the main problem was that it had no where to race, rule changes in most of the racing series made it obsolete and illegal to race it

its such a beautiful car, looks better than 787B IMO. When ALMS goes closed cockpit, I hope to see some nice cars again, open cockpit is ugly.

When would Mazda return to Le Mans, they shouldn't have any financial troubles now.

Sorry to divert this thread to the 792 but I love the looks of it more. I would love some more pics if you could post them when you get a chance Rotary Crazy.

going to open copit was a big mistake, at the time of the gtp cars you would see a 60 car field and thats P1 AND C2
