....... well my brother has a m3 on order, black on black w/ 19s and other nice crap, i should be test test driving it within 2 weeks now.......but dealer did not quote him 100k more like high 70k

we have 3 in where i work, 2 of them are for the showroom and we can't sell them yet, but the other one some guy bought saturday and brought it in tuesday and told us to sell it for him because he didnt want it anymore. it has about 250 miles on it and i think he's trying to get about 70 for it, if i cant sell it though he's going to probably trade it in and get like 55k for it. he said he loves it but he decided he wanted a m6 instead with the SMG transmission. so he ordered a white m6.. filthy rich, he paid cash!

Aint that sad. A hot chick can wear underwear and sell them for that much more. Yet a car(more important to some than women) decreases in value. BTW is she selling those panties.

I'm actually in the process of trying to deal with that. It isn't fun, more or less not worth it. Looks like i'll be holding off unless something changes drastically. I'd love to own one of a few in the area but it's just not worth it. If anyone here knows someone who is going to or did pay the 30k prem post it up.

I remember when the new Z-06 came out they wanted a cool $80k for it in my neck of the woods. My buddy who got his 6 months later still payed a slight mark up for his, 70k for his.

I think the worst person who I ever known to pay a mark up and get totally hosed was my boss. He brought the smaller MR2 spyder when they came out back in 1998, he payed 37 grand!!!!! For a 25grand car! OUCh!!!!

He payed it off, he is totally but sore when he looks back and thinks about how stupid of a purchase that was!

I saw something hilarious in an issue of Top Speed (bbc). They reviewed the new M3 and then had a 2 page section called reality check where they bashed it and pinned it against the Porsche Cayman S and showed that the Porsche is a better buy.

Its a good value at 55-60k but 100 is just stupid. M cars also hold their value well (not if you over pay for them).
