Hey renesis8, wow, your mileage jumps pretty quick!

Anyway, I'm gonna order the Redline MT90 and Redline 75W90 to replace the transmission and the LSD. its available from the local buddy club. they sell by per bottle a quart, about $28 each. and we need 2 bottle of each. If you interesed, let me know, I'll get it together.

cheers

Sorry bro M-ster

Is this the correct way to replace the transmission fluids?? Also the correct proportion?? Sorry I have not read abt this in the manual yet but is it just get oil with viscosity 75w90 for LSD? Thot normal gear oil is 75w90 and LSD 75W140?? Maybe I confused liao.....

My colleague drives a Honda Type R manual 6 speed and factory recommends Honda MTF2 transmission fluid. They did not specify viscosity as the LSD and gear box require different viscosity and hence the proportion to mix is not made known. Some tried mixing other brand oil (including those u mentioned) with no good result. So I am just wondering if mixing this (ratio 1:1) is correct?

Can any bro changed their transmission oil comment??

Tks

Tks

I use HKS Super Synthetic gear oil 75W-90 for the gear. Changed it at 20K.

Did not change the LSD oil yet as I do not go tracking...so will probably change it when I reach 40K.

Well the reason why i'm looking at Redline is because a lot of the guys in State have tried with good results and highly recommended. And do we really follow that closely to wat the manual says? Well, for a start, most of us are still using synthetic oil for the enginee
Anyway, both the Redline's oil for tranny and lsd are of the same 75/90. I guess the other oils like HKS, RE, R-magic should be fine too.... it just that no one mentioned it of their experience with them, so I'm just going with the safe option, the recommended REDLINE.

BTW Renesis8, the manual says to change the plugs at 60k! I dont mind changing the plugs sooner if only the dame plugs are not so expensive!

Side track,

Instead of starting a new thread just for this, I'll just ride on here. Any one got suggestions where i can find the Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided Brakelines? And if you do have it, how much you get it for?

Thanks!

Answerin Sam Answerin Sam....

Neon shouts " Im using HKS 75/140 and HKS 75/90 for LSD n gear respectively!"

Neon thinks " U can use Motul 75/90 for gear also. Good stuff!"

Neon agrees " Using original plugs(NGKs) r better although im using Denso Iridiums."

"Cheers!" as Neon bottoms up on his bottle of Heiny.
