Replica Veilside body kit D1-GT (from USA ship to Spore)

Just need to find out what do u guys think about this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Replica Veilside D1-GT for only US$425. Shipping is US$600 to Singapore
So total is US$1025 = S$1690
I have check with GarageR it cost S$3700 for the real thing.

I was told that This body kits are made of 7-layer high quality fiber glass, gel-coated, they are light weight and flexible.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Questions
1) Is this good or bad material.

2) What is the diff between bodykit made from Fiber Glass and URETHANE?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I may also order another Carbon Fiber Hood/bonnet (with extra US$150 for shipping) The bonnet will be around US$450-490
http://www.seibon.com/pdut_detail.asp

Need advice.

imho, veilside's bodykits are always on the exagerrated side. even for the FD3S, its very "kua zhang"........ too fierce, too low...... in singapore roads, bodykits that are too low wun last too long, especially on our humps here. if u are importing something so expensive, my take is make sure it can last...... this kit is too low to last long..... u can check out other bodykit from japan.....

i had done up mine and til now mine is the one and only on singapore road.... :D

that is definitely a good material.... as always, japan FRP are high grade, instead of the lousy fibreglass for bodykits used in m'sia and sing.....

urethane shld be more rubbery??? i'm not too sure.. can anyone else advise?

as for carbon fibre hood.... wat is the colour of ur car? why carbon fibre? becos of weight? or cosmetic purposes?

I bought a red one from MM and will send it to be respray to a 2 tone orange-red or 2 tone pink color.

It look like this---
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Theres so may brand around and I do not know which body kit is suitable for spore road and humps.
Can u advice me?

What is your body kit brand and price?

As for the Carbon fibre hood, I like it due to cosmetic purpose.

2 tone?? that effect is achieved by adding a lot of pearl powder....

my kit..... let it be a mystery for awhile first....... :D

do u have the RX8 bible? that magazine is a must have for rx8 owners.... singapore kinokuniya retails at $51.40 while japan kuniya sells at $16++

they have all the bodykit manufacturers from jap..... if u dun mind, i can show u the book as well as my ride.....

dude

didn't think you would do it in such a short time.
so you drop the elise for a rx8 ya... good on you mate :D
looks count just like the chicks but handling is slightly compromise

the 2 tone is awesome and the seibon TS-II is hot!!!!
plus the body kit you gonna be a stud machine man.
don't blow the bonus all at once.
they may take it back at their fancy

Jetblast who are u?

The Elise is good as its very rare in Spore total of less than 50.
But the seller refuse to sell at a good price. so drop the ideal of getting one and turn to a RX8 instead.

As for the Re-Spraying. The workshop told me not to go for it till the original paint work is full of scratches and color became dull. He said if I go for the respray there will be some area when the paint would not be able to cover. so got to wait for 1-2 yrs.
As for the bonus I do not think that its going to be attractive after the Meeting with our chairman and CEO. he said the company is worth 10 billion and any profit that is less than 7% is not consider as a profit. and 7% is around 700 million.
