Stolen parts

I suspect that there is less car parts thefts is simple down to economics. Correct me if I am wrong but there isn't much of a 2nd hand parts market like else where. We want brand new stuff most of the time. Therefore, auto theft, being an economic activity, most of the time has to be rational too. Steal that you can sell. I guess rims are one of the things that is easilt re-saleable.

Question of rims: the stolen set of rims can be fitted on other cars? Not so unique to the RX-8 only? Sometimes, some factory specified wheels are quite unique to certain models of cars only.

not a bright idea if the trigger is too sensitive... I had once had a car that when you farted, it would go off... too sensitive... started to **** the neighbours everytime a heavy vehicle rumble past.

Theres a company at the Turf city that is selling a set of Alarm and will call u on your mobile if some thief set off the car alarm. around $500-600+

But I'm not sure if it can notice u if u and your car are both in Mlayasia.

I am currently using a Steering wheel lock ($350) with built in Pressure sensor and motion sensor.
The alarm will be activate either someone lift the car using a jack or when someone opens the door or car boot.
When its activated it will page for u on a give pager that will work with in 1km range.
Best of all, u can remove it and used it on any cars anytime.
So if u hav 3 cars theres not need to spend 3x$500 to insta.ll the alarm on all 3 cars.
This device can only be found in Taiwan and I did watch a promotional video stating that its the best u can find in Taiwan and no other taiwan company can match this.

I can show u if u want too.... I'll be free for 3-4 days after New Years Day.
