Thats what I am saying.... the only problem with replicas is that its not tested for aerodynamics..... Other than that, workmanship and quality is nuttin to worry about.

erm....the rp sshifter for me works fine except for noise prob in 2nd gear. I think is due to the lack of damping as speculated by the US guys. But the noise is livable cause the feeling of changing gear is shiok! cant imagine gg back to using the original shifter.

The replicas are strong, no problem travelling at 180km/hr.

As for the workmanship for replicas($1-1.5K), it maybe a bit wavy. but unless u spend alot more on those ABS material original body kit ($4-5K), the original body kit($2.5-3K) made out of fiber glass is still going to crack easier than those ABS ones.

And only a few brands has ABS material body kit.

I have it and its damn shiok. Don't think there is any noise problem in 2nd gear or transmission noise. Unless by transmission noise, you mean the solid cluck sound each time you engage a gear in. Even though the original shifter is already quite short, the RP is even shorter and gives a more precise feel. And the solid sound it makes each time you throw the gear in is just simply shiok!!

Ya, that's what i was referring to. I thought I've read it somewhere here too, that RP has re-tweak his shifter kit..... But sounds fun from most ppl who has it.

I spotted a Urethane & Fiber factory during my business trip in BKK. He have some of the latest RX8 bodykit liked Auotexe, Varis and RE-Amemiya:

He brought the original kit from Japan and replicar them with even better material than the original, because he was also an OEM manufacturer for original spolier, Lip and others accessories for Automotive industrial in BKK, I am very impress with his product. The company even have IS0 certify.

He replicar some AMG, Lorinser, Carlton kits for his Mercedes SL sport and Gambella for his Porsche and surprisingly he also had an RX8 for his son, so replicate those to switch around the car and sold to his friend as well. He only doing it for fun and not his core business.

Businessman is a businessman he can sell the kit to me and I am so temping to get one but after caculate the freight cost it was liked 1K for the Autoexe complete kit cash and carry. Unless I have mass order like 10 to bring down the freight cost.

Hi,

I like the CF body kits.

Freight is not the issue for me. I can load the goods in my container. I have shipment from BKK to SG.

Mind to share the address of the factory?

Not all original bodykit have precise fitting on the car

I have seen real Veilside bodykit fitted on a Rx8, and after the bodykit has be fitted, theres still some gaps and alightment problem, therefore some filling and filing are still required.

The only thing that a replica does not have over an original one is ,
The replica ones tend to be a bit wavy on flat surface.
Thats a mold made over an original will not give a perfect flat surface, so some touch up is still required after the replica are install on the car.

And this required a highly skilled person to do a good job.
