I think this speculation of fake oil filter could do the product and our reputation some injustice as it could be misleading. I'm not sure but I think the whole market only Mutiara and Wangan is selling greddy oil filters.
I can guarantee 100% that our Greddy oil filters are original Trust products from Japan. I would like to assure everyone that our company doesn't sell any replica product. If we really want to sell replica products, we'd have sold many fake mazdaspeed, autobahn, ings etc kits already. Our Autoexe and chargespeed original kits are still moving slow because there are many fakes in the market but still we stick to selling original.
Back to the oil filter topic.
First of all, if we notice slight difference in terms of packaging colour or printing differences, those of you with experience in Manufacturing will know that most manufacturers have usually 2-3 OEM supplier or packaging provider to avoid supply interuption. Minor differences in end product exist in all products. It's up to the factories to accept the differences. Personally, I do not know why there are silver or white printing. It could be old batch vs new batch or OEM supplier A vs OEM Supplier B, nobody will know. Most important is where you buy from. If you buy from reputable seller that you trust, that's okay. If not there's no way to be sure even if you buy OEM oil filter, it could be fake.
Secondly, I don't think anyone will be bothered to replicate Greddy Oil filters as it's not the best selling filter in the world. Usually pirates forged products that have mass market like Proton Oil filters or OEM oil Filters.
Mutiara doesn't sell alot of these filters these days since they have gotten the rights to rebrand Greddy oil filters as M7 products in Malaysia. As a result of that I think we're the only people selling them here. If we don't sell them, there shouldn't be much demand also. So common sense would be, who want to start a production line to forge this filter? It's a cheap item that requires big volume to make money if want to make fake.
Isn't it better to forge Mazda OEM oil filter? After all, OEM oil filters can supply to all spare parts shop.
Lastly, try to do a search on google and see if anybody can find replica or fake Greddy oil filters. I tried and can't seem to find one.

Now, someone has to cut the suspected "fake" oil filter and have a look. If you see something like the left side one, then it is a fake one... this is just an example... sometimes it is the supplier that cuts corner, the dealers and customers are the victims.
The fake oil filter is on the left, and the real one is on the right. The fake filter has very little
element, which will not protect the engine; the real one has more element, which will protect an engine.

Most cars went in there n come out 4-6 months (some 8 months) later for GT widebody, non-widebody should be faster...... The boss, Ken ask for total cooperation and never push him, he doesn't allow others to copy his creation, so your car would be unique forever...... So if you can wait, he won't mind...... Price at least 5 figures, plus the mould.... Location at Bertam near Ipoh NS highway exit...... Now Ken is doing a GTR monster.... Thus the shop name: MONSTER GARAGE.....
CSL, he do any sorts of car...... Talk to TeamAdvan a.k.a Taikor Lam from ZTH, he's main supporter and promoter.....
