Rotaries like a fine wine age well when properly maintained, and part of that ritual includes occasional redlining. Some might still build up carbon at a faster rate than others but regardless the redlining helps to reduce the buildup.
The rest of the time, its simple, stupid, luck...which sucks...

Power to Weight Ratio of the RX8 should be better since both cars weigh in circa 1,350 kg as the GTI has 200HP at 5100 RPM and the RX8 has 250HP at 9000 RPM at crank.....
Well reviews do say the GTI does 0-100km/h in 6.8 secs whereas the RX8 does the same in 5.9 secs...Turbo or no Turbo. Spec sheets do have at least 80% accuracy even though manufacturers tend to exagerate.
Maybe MAN8 missed shifting into a gear??? Sean....whereever you are, pls demystify us
Puzzled now?
