Hi Shariz,
May i know wat car have you been driving??? It gives a clue whether it goes like wat you think....
Answer to your Qs:
1)Easy drive no matter it's Auto or Manual...... Fuel consumption varies from 300km to 420km per 55 litters......
2)This one is tricky!!! Ferrari parts are expensive, Mercedes parts are expensive, so i really can't tell you whether RX8 parts are expensive, every person evaluate things differently..... Depends on your earnings.....
Just to give you a clue, brand new RX8 engine is around 18k......Service would the same as any other JDM performance cars..... RM200 for engine oil, spark plug about RM400 a set.....

2. I wouldn't call it expensive.. unless you are talking about the major parts (eg. steering rack etc) and that's because you have to order them. The oil filter isn't expensive (which you replace at every oil change). Petrol is though!
I reckon you should take one for a test drive. See how you like driving it etc. Good luck mate.

an eye catching 4 seater sportcar, 8' consider low maintenance cost. If you compare with BMW, i would say it cheap.
Join us for TT, and ask around Sifu... some may offer you for a ride.

It is a great sportcar to have and no issue as daily drive and small family and friends will be able to enjoy your ride together too. Maintainance is really not that high, spare parts is also not that ex.

This morning my steering was shuddering when turning. Just a little, not that bad. Due to the power of searching, I found this:
I'll check lennon's and boony's reckoning first and have it go checked out. To both old timers, I'm not worthy!

check the wiring harness and connectors 1st

One of the connectors is power for the rack itself and has two wires running through it.
The other is a 3-pin connector that carries the torque sensor data.
clean them.... check if the wires are in good condition.... if they are not.... change them lor.... still cheaper than changing the steering rack.
if all fails then only change the steeering rack....

2. No comment on this as i've only went for engine oil change. RM200 for trust RE oil. Although the steering rack problem is worrying me now.
