im no expert but i got some info on this.. from an expert.
he said there is no need to install an extra oil cooler for street cars.
if you do the oil pressure will drop due to the extra distance the oil has to travel.
additional oil cooler is only useful if u r a regular at the track, where the engine operates on high rpm most of the time.
if u have disposable cash, its better to do mods that add value to ur street car, like removing catalyc converter.
but ur car is auto correct? how powerful is the auto actually?
i only have opinion from a 2nd hand car dealer who recently brought in an auto unit, he said no pickup, lost to satria gti.. is it like this or is it just his car?

basically the only problem with our 4AT is that the atf cooler "volumn" & "surface" is not sufficient to produce a cold gearbox.
but it is good for racing when the gearbox heat up fast because it produce faster gear shift. however no one of us know how much heat the gearbox can take. so when u are driving agressively will the gearbox crack? thats another issue.
pro & con?
so what ever u decided to do. there will be effects both way.
Pros out there please teach me something here.

This is really making me laugh......
Atf cooler dont need to be big, as long you have one, it will be sufficient to cool the gearbox, it's better than not having one.....

I've also been thinking of either an additional Oil Cooler or just get an ATF cooler. Since the AT only has single Oil Cooler vs the MT having double, us AT fella's can afford to have either.
Anyone care to comment?

I do think ATF should come first, Wood do feel the cabin is cooler after installing it....

ok so i have my driver site cooler space occupied... don't worry here's more.
On ATF. i haven't install mine but, what i am looking for is comfort on the 4AT after installing the ATF cooler. i heard a lot telling me that it will reduce the console heat which u can feel every drive. the problem with our 4AT ATF is the design of the cooler. like what goober8 show.
weakness:
1. its just a small oil-rail, slower heat distribution propety with out meshing.
2. volumn distribute into the oil-rail is limited, might not be as good compare to other ATF cooler. limited circulation.
3. Outlets design of the oil-rail. does this seem like there is no circulation? since there are so close together.
So when your mind is still wondering where to put the ATF after installing the Extra oil cooler...... congratulation, RE amemiya have an ATF cooler that can be place infront the radiator with all the braket.
