1) does anyone here uses royal purple fully syn motor oils for their 8? coz i remember seeing an advert on some magazine that autochild or something sells RP oils here in malaysia. i know they're widely used in US but what about here in malaysia with hot temps?

2) does anyone here premix 2T oils with their fuel?

Read through the posts in this thread and found a few maintenance items that i should do when i get my car next week. I'm leaving out the mods for the time being. Need your advice on the items so that there will be no problems with the car in the near future and especially during CNY. Thanks in advance.

Must do!
1) Car alarm system (Clifford?)
2) Check engine oil and change to rotary oil (at Wangan???)
3) Engine mounting cos the car is vibrating a lot during idling after temperature become stable (Wangan have stock???)
4)....

Maybe later items....
1) Turbo timer (Need advice on this)
2) Oil cooler (Need advice on this as well)
3).....

advice:
1. yes rotary oil in wangan is a good choice, so does Q8 semi synthetic.
2. need turbo timer for what? our car will automatically turn on the fan when car is hot.
3. Oil cooler is definitely a good mod to have! thumbs up!

 

Haven't heard of anyone doing both for their 8s.

1. There's mix responses on the choice of engine oil, though most go down the rotary oil route, but haven't heard anyone using RP. You could probably get some in Singapore, if it's not available here.

2. I've read that some 7s do premix 2T, you can try and search here http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforu...splay.php?f=90 (if you didn't already know)

 

1) Car alarm system (Clifford?) - a must, clifford is one of many choices
2) Check engine oil and change to rotary oil (at Wangan???) - rotary oil is generally recommended, along with mineral oil, you can't go wrong
3) Engine mounting cos the car is vibrating a lot during idling after temperature become stable (Wangan have stock???) - only if your car vibrates, and you can check with wangan for availability

Warm, I want to remove mine too, and will make a silencer with the straight pipe. but it will be outside the pipe not inside. But like lennon say, it might go lean for auto! Sad! cause auto only have 2 intake manifold. so we get less air in.

about the turbo kit, Actually i haven't bought it yet, I am still considering, mutiara motors quoted RM12,800.00 . Turbo will be the last thing i am going to put on the vehicle. Anyway every other part is here, including fujisubo exhaust parts

add i mean fujisubo extrator), jaafar ordered it for me, i think its fujisubo, actually not so sure, he said he will get me something nice and i trust him.


instead of greddy turbo kit i may go for the SFR kit that gives double the hp of what greddy gives. the only worry is the harm it may do to the engine, no idea whether the apex seals will hold or not. Also waiting for tyres. pirelli p-zero rosso is out of stock at the moment for those sizes .

 

c'mon man, instead of just showing who is the fastest, why not just enjoy looking at each other vehicle better right
