my radiator light came on when i was accerating to 160+kmh, i thought my radiator tak ada air, but when i check it, its full with coolant and water. any idea why the indicator came on for a few seconds?

You are real talented la. i think you should open a small shop. not to earn $ cause u already have plenty. but at least helping around and make friends. wah lau eh.... now i know why ah fatt's 86 can cucuk ferrari man.... zam... bila u in kk again we ask the convoy organiser show us his super 86.

Oh and theboy, how do you solve your coolant problem. had the same problem when travel 180km/hr down to JB

 

Bro its simple, just suck out some of the coolant with a hose and replace with water.

No problem, there will be a few additional sets carried by Wangan themselves..... So dont worry, you still got chance to get one....

As for the coolant, you need to change it if you have not.......

 

Haahha..... I tot of buying workshops too and nearly did it last year but i bow out......

Just be aware of the coolant you're using.... there are three types of coolant which can differentiate by it colour........
1)Green one - the normal type and cheapest, but oso the most acidic of all... it can cause corrosion to your radiation and eventually leak. Make sure you mix it lots of water.
2)Red one - such as the Toyota coolant, it's better than the green one but not the next one.
3)Blue one - refers to the BMW and Mercedes coolants. the best of all becos it's gentle to your radiator and it has a protection chemical that keep the radiator hose unpenetrated. It can last longer, hence it's widely recommended.

Lennon my coolant level light turn on again. and this time is over heat. i can feel it. it makes the rubber aroud smells. so what should i do? can u ask friends around. i think it might be the fan. seems like the fans are not working. i had reset the car, disconnected the battery. still the same. help.

 

ah boy boy , why your car have so many problem ?

 

Boy, can you ask your mech to check the themostat whether there's any blockage..... You're saying during idling the fan wasnt working?? Do you find any water leakage on the engine site???...... Is the fuse burn off or the fan was spoilt?? Or maybe you let go too much coolant that day??

 

ya lo a lot of problem kan. this one the worst. u know normally when the car is hot, the fan will on even u off the car. well don't here that. i think its cause by unprofessional mechanics we have here. even service also bad!

lennon. no water leakage. fuse i also checked already. let go too much coolant might be 1 of the reason.

 

ah BOY: i also face this problem before ,that i using the red coolent as lennon say,now i using the blue one..and maybe + the ATF cooler help more...maybe you try to get the water temp gauge to see more....we much take care of our 8 like wife dont over and dont less...

 

i used the motul coolent,blue clour, one need add the water yourself,one already mix the water inside ......

..shud be out by 1-2 weeks....depending dah dpt my rear lamp or not by that time....
...psl most probably kene beli gak lampu belakang psl ade bende patah....
...overall...blm pakai aftermarket stuff lg.....
once dh dpt the claim money,then br senang nk budget what can buy.....

..well...u know la insurance....u cant get 100% of what u proposed ur damages....but selalunye can get 60% at least....
