Just done 1 full tank on Shell V-power yesterday. Mainly change at 3500rpm only touches 5000rpm occasionally. And that tank only touch 340km (with 10km more after fuel light came on). So it works out to only about 6.3/L.

Just put in Caltex V.Gold, let's see what this tank can do.

The 2nd tank with Caltex is doing slightly better with 6.65km/L.

Thumbs up

Fuel consumption has seemed to be an issue in RX8 owner...... well I was just wondering has any one of the owner tries the after market fuel consumption improvement device? Those things claim to improve by at least 15% or so ........ and whether or not it works it for you guys to find out....just for thought.
Another thing.... has anyone thought of the fuel consumption in STI or EVO ? These two cars consume as much if not less compare to the RX8 and just dun understand why people aren't complaining about it. To me I think the amount of money you save on your road tax for a 1.3 l compares to a 2.0 l car itself saves you a good almost $800.00 and on top of that your car insurance itself will save you another almost $1500 depending on various factors..... a total of $2300 saving ...and this amount could easily lighten the burden of owning a RX8 .....a car that builds like no other.

Nope, they dont work for us cars. Probably helps a little with >10yrs cars. IMO of cuz.

Well, i would stil buy rx-8 as compared to STIs or EVOs even if the fuel consumption is 1.5 times higher! No Doubt!

Still waiting for the official launching of this car from Mazda Singapore to know the deal and try to own one........

Help!!

the later 2 tanks i did 270km (light came on) this is terrible about 19,5L/100km!!!
I have to admit that my foot is a bit heavy but is as heavy as it was a month before
before those two tanks i was getting about 300-320km.

What is that ECU learning thing??
I have an SE3P Type S.

Please advise me!
