No idea leh. Just passed the key to a friend. He's going to try all sort of thing to see if it can work. If okay, then will post here.

Hi Guys,
Any update on this? I just wanted to know if that new key remote would be compatible with my 8. Im on Borneo, my 8 is a 2004 direct import from Japan. It came with a remote+key set (with door lock/unlock & boot open buttons) & two spare keys. If it is compatible, i wouldnt mind getting one. Thanks.

does the JDM model come with an immobiliser? i heard it does, but would like to confirm. i'm thinking of getting the clifford security alarm for the car. any ideas?
