UK Vs US service schedule
After reading the US version of the RX8 users manual I notice that the UK service schedule is quite different. The US schedule specifies 6 month service intervals for normal use, the UK vesrion specifies 12 month periods (or at least thats what the local Mazda garage told me)
I guess the engine setup wil be slightly different to comply with local emissions regulations, but the period difference is much larger than I would have expected.
Any thoughts why?
Thanks
Graham

The Australia and New Zealand schedules are also every 6 months. Not sure why this is, but I'm sure the car doesn't need any attention between intervals in our climate.
One thing that does concern me is that the US gets an oil change after 4000 miles, but I haven't seen anything about changing our oil until the first service at 12500 miles or 1 year.
Anyone think it should be done before that?

...yes I do. Even if its just to get rid of swarf etc ... about 4-6k I think I will get mine done. Especially when I get the oil from the owners club deal!
