It's about 30 minutes south. What days do you have off? I work nighshift and have M-W off. It's a pretty crappy schedule

My 8 has never been flooded so I'm not quite sure what's wrong with yours.

Quick question for ya'll. How was it shipping your 8s over there? (If you shipped em and didn't get them there) I'm a little nervous. I ship mine out at the end of the month to Germany. Anything you can tell me that may calm my nerves would be awesome! Thanks

well, i'm in belgium, but of course my car shipped through Germany's port. My car was shipped from hawaii to TN for 1yr storage, then to Belgium.

they managed to break a tail light, "kill" a brand new yellowtop battery, and burnt my summer tires slick in the rear.....

That's not good to hear...didn't give me any reassurance lol. I'm shipping at the end of July and getting there at the end of August....so I'm hoping that nothing happens to her.

If they mess up your car, they have to fix it right?

I've had better results from shipping from Japan and the US to the German port Bremen-haven. Both of the cars I had shipped showed up with no damage just dead batteries. I just needed to get the cars jumped and they were fine. Both times I went through shippers that my company deals with so the cars came fully insured.

I had a friend ship his FC and they fucked up his front bumper. When I shipped my 8 they put a few scratches in my powdercoated wheels and somehow the little plastic piece on the top of my seatbelt thingy came off.

When you get to Ramstein send me a pm and we can meet up. Hockenheimring has a public race day each month and Nurburgring is slightly over an hour away.

Got another quick question...I've heard they are pretty strict on inspections (particularly tires and brakes)....I'm assuming this is true? The reason I ask is because my tires are on yellow....before I go blowin 1k on tires before I get there, I'm wondering if I can get away with it...?

The inspection isn't particularly strict. It's mostly for aftermarket ****. They do have a minimum tread depth, but I'm not exactly sure what it is. Since you have a new car you really shouldn't have much to worry about.

Location doesn't really apply to compression tests. Just take it to a Mazda dealership or buy the kit to do it yourself.

That sucks! Your engine should still be under warranty at least.

I saw an American Rx8 at the Nurburgring this past weekend before my crash. Is anyone here with a KL tag I think it is for K-town?

Black with aftermarket exhaust and stock wheels that's all I could see before it went on the track.

If i'm not yet done by that time we may as well consider meeting there. Enough time ahead to plan!
