I believe those are the reflectors, which form an outer ring around the main brake light.

They only seem to show up like that in flash photos that's why I assume they are reflectors.

If thats what your car will look like parked up at night if approaced from behind, it will make other drivers feel like they are being watched.

I was wondering this. If the brake light is in the middle , and these are reflectors then where is the main light?

Yuk !

The horrid 'ringed' rev counter is back !
I thought/hoped they had ditched this ?

(for those unsure , some pre-prod have a 'plain rev counter' , come have this dreadful chrome 'ring' inside by the numbers splitting the face)

Really , really hope mine does not have this...
A small point I know , but it would bug me.

I think I like the rev counter. What is wrong with it?

i agree with morgan, it looks too fussy with that ring. gimme a no-nonsense black dial with big numbers all the way up to 11, spinal tap style.

maybe it's a separate piece that can be pulled off though.

on a related note, anyone else think that they'll be disconnecting that rev beeper thing, it sounds like it could become irritating veeery quickly, check the japanese "best motoring" videos over in the multimedia forum. not that i'll be driving like that of course, well, not all the time anyway.

100% agreed. It looks lousy with that ring and classy without. Doh!

Compare it with this:

Thanks for the pics guys(or girls). I know we won't be getting the bug washers in front of the headlights over here... but I kinda like them there. As for the front lisense plate... it looks a lot nicer than I originally thought it would

Something else I have just noticed (being a bit sad like that).

The yucky ringed-rev-counter car has its other binnacles swapped around.
The car in the 'evo' mag review (which has the nice rev counter) has oil temp on the left and fuel/temp on the right.

Seems there are two specs kicking around.....
Perhaps the chrome ringed one is for the US market or something?

M.

PS - 11. Well , it's one louder...
