Standard Power version uses 10.8, the High Power version 11.4 litres of petrol per 100 km. Combined with a 61-litre fuel tank, the new Mazda RX-8 has, for a sports car, a very respectable operating range. The problem previous rotary engines had with emissions has been convincingly solved with the new RENEISIS engine, which achieves Euro IV.
This kinda give around 325 miles to a tank. Which is not that bad considering.
