Unfortunately,i will look elsewhere for forced induction solutions ......

We have made huge efforts to improve our customer service and our track record is actually very good when you compare the amount of turbo kits and other products sold worldwide to the amount of customer issues we have. It just seems that people are louder and quicker to point out when there are issues than when things go extremely well.

We certainly appreciate your feedback very much and hope to continue on our path of improvement.

my kit is installed and has a base tune and i must say i drove it to the bank and back and it ran great exhaust leaks are minimal and the only real issue i had with the kit was getting it to me. and if they fix that and communication i would probably recommend this kit to people. once those 2 issues are fixed and are easy enuf to fix. it should be tuned on the 10th and ill get it dynoed after that to see the results.

just my 2 cents.

Is your airpump installed? I didn't put mine in and mine idles rough and its not tuned...I checked everything for airleaks and am using the injen intake tube instead of the one it came with...also how did you put in the blessed hose thing on the outlet of the compressor? All of mine were too big to fit...just some questions since we both have the same kit

Well my track record on getting through to you all is pretty bad....no one answers the phones, or returned any of my calls over the past 5-6 months....I was hitting everything I could find with recent dates to make sure you got it this time.

"Hello Erik,

I apologize for the bad experience. Most of the issues customers experienced was due to the old owner of Mazdaparts.com coupled with some technical communication issues. Mazdaparts.com has since switched owners and we expect customer relations to be way better moving forward. We've also started using a new inventory system taken from our manufacturing business which will allow us to reduce back ordered items and control component stock. As of last month we hold everything in stock which will help with deliveries. Unfortunately we implemented this after you made your purchase.

Can you please send me your order number so we can trace this back. Also, your kit is using the Aeromotive fuel pump, correct? Please confirm. Lastly, how did you narrow down your issue to a faulty fuel pump?

Answer these questions and we will do what we can asap.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Chris"

We don't see the need to SPAM our threads 3 minutes after you send us a PM. One hour wait for a response is fairly reasonable since we do not hover in the forum 24hrs a day. Please respond to the my pm and we will get this sorted out.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Chris

Idles great. Base tune and idles at 13.1 driving sits in the 12 range. And no air pump.

Has anyone ever installed this onto a 4 speed Automatic Transmission RX-8? I don't really want to sell my car, because I'll lose a lot of money, so I want to increase the HP a bit to make it more fun and lively to drive.

I originally had a Greddy kit and had on the list a COBB AP for after the install, but I had to back out and sell the kit for cheap ($1200) because I had to take care of some important stuff. Now, I'm ready to try and get my Auto RX-8 turbo charged.

I have a 2005 RX-8 Grand Touring with a 4 speed Automatic Transmission.

Will the Esmeril kit fit? What else will I need? When will the COBB AP intake pipe be available?

Do I need to purchase new gaskets, or does the kit include everything?

What kind of Plugs do I need? 2 step colder plugs?

Injectors?

Thank you,
Mark

Hello Mark,

The kit will bolt on to the A/T cars. We just need to include different injectors since it only has four. The kit includes everything you need for the install. No gaskets are required. Also, we have a set of spark plugs that are perfect for turbo applications and they come pre-gapped and ready to install.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Best regards,

Chris

Dear Chris, if you promise to help me be as successful as possible with your turbo kit, I will purchase it.

Will you please grant me the introductory price for 3995, plus the step colder plugs for my application.

Also, what are you going to do for me in terms of the injectors? Will I have clearance issues at all with getting everything set?

Where is the best place to relocate the battery, other than the trunk. I want to keep the little trunk space I have...

Is the COBB AP version finished?

Do you have photos of the standard turbo kit? I'm confused as to what type of intercooler is included, etc.

I don't mind doing a review and a blog about the install as well. With photos and all.

Thanks for your help.

Warm regards,
Mark

I've been talking to Chris and so far, he's answered most of my questions. Looks like I'll be moving forward with the purchase of this kit. I will be blogging about the install in detail, so future RX-8 Automatic owners can see what needs to be done to get their 8 turbo'd and how it works. Hmm.. Very excited. This project is expected to be finished before 2013...

Thanks again RX-8 Club members for the wealth of info. Despite some of the negative comments I've heard about Esmeril's customer service, I am chancing it and purchasing a kit from them. I sure hope they don't let me down!

Take care,
Mark

I see that you have it for 3995, but at the shop it's over 4k..

What else do I need to complete the install? I plan to use the stock exhaust for now and upgrade later. I just want to test your kit to see real world results with a complete bolt on solution without changing things like exhaust.

Please let me know. Will be ready to purchase A.S.A.P.

Best regards,
Mark

p.s. Please PM me if you have a special going on for someone to do a thorough and honest review on your kit.

im still a huge fan of esmirl racing. and they are the only turbo company i would buy from.. in about another month and a half and ill have the money for the hp kit.. can you give me a small summery of the other mods you had on the rx8 in your vid running 414whp at 16 psi.. and is that a safe number for daily/ some racing. without adding internals.

If you are planning on pushing above 350whp we have to recommend you install our apex seals. Aside from that you would need a good clutch (we can source one for you), a good boost controller and a Water/Meth injection kit or a full switch to ethanol. On the street I would keep it at around 12psi, its enough power to beat most of what you will encounter on the road without putting the engine into the risk zone. At 10-12psi you will be close to 400whp if tuned well. Then you can bump that up to 14psi for racing which should put you over 400whp easily. The car in the video was having issues with the boost controller and it was dropping the psi with the revs, that is why we had to set it at 16 to get to 414whp because it was dropping to 7psi as the car approached redline which explains the drop on the dyno chart. We've had customer hit 400whp with a little as 13-14psi.

Best regards,

Chris

wow thats crazy.. but yea im about to take out a loan for like 13k to redo my entire rx8. and your hp kit was first on the list.. but yea if u can shoot me a link to a good clutch that would be amazing, any time you get the chance im not in a rush. since it will be anohter month or so.. and is replacing the apex seals really hard? and ive got other mods done to it aswell, to give it that extra kick to over 400hp wile running lower boost..

replacing the apex seals is literally opening up your rotary engine... You might as well overhaul it if it needs be for other parts that needs replacing or strengthening...

I recently blew two apex seals in my rx8.. I got a street ported freshly built 13b and were almost done with the whole build should be done tomorrow or wednesday and we started sunday at 2pm. I was going to boost it next month on my 18th birthday with this kit, an exoticspeed exhaust and I nice intake. But my plans got pushed back.. Seeing the complaints about getting it in kind of brought me down on buying this kit but I thought "with time great things can happen" and then the backorders I understand all that and I will instal no other turbo except yall's. I have heard great things about this kit and I will have it in my rx8 next year hopefully .
