Front Strakes a la F/R Lens Strakes?

So much to do, so little time...sometimes I feel like ***** Wonka in the chocolate factory. :D
Have you considered modeling a version of your Oil Cooler Strakes along the lines and color of the strakes that are inside the head/tail lamp lenses... with those indentations?

Only the rear have the indentations, the front are curved and not indented. The normal color for the front OC strakes are this silver that is in the head lights and the tail lights. That is what I designed them after. I even slanted them so they would match the head light strakes.

Here is a pic of them on my car. Look at the head lights and you will see that they are the same design.

You are closer than you realize

This is our "store". I have not had time to build the website as we're too busy trying to fill orders. Ordering instructions are in the first post, here:

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...23&postcount=1

Just follow the instructions on how to order in the first couple of paragraphs. Email us if you have questions at info@rx8fun.com.

Regards,

Derwankel

I ordered the oil cooler grilles (order number 45) since you have not started the order yet, can I add the a/c condenser grille to my order? if so how much more do I owe you?

A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grill - $49.00
Special If you purchase both the Oil Cooler Grills and the A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grill you will receive a $9 discount for the purchase of both

Sure ... no problem ... just paypal the additional amount ... less the $9.00 discount and we'll add it to the order.

Thanks for asking ...

Because I'm behind on making the existing orders and it makes no sense to add more orders. I plan to be caught up in January, at which time I'll be modifying the way orders for spoilers are handled...so keep watching.

Just ordered front and rear accents but wondering if you offer oil cooler grills for those of us without fog lamps. From what I've seen yours only work with these.
Thanks

Check back in a month or so. I am working on designing ones without the fog lights. I just have to find time to cut a new frame and mounting brackets and make a mold of the prototype.

I am also planning on doing fog light accent strakes for those without the fog lights too.

For those of you who have been waiting on the back log, I apologize it has taken me as long as it has. I have had a mounting redesign that will improve installation of the fog light strakes that will improve their installation and have made the mold that will be casting the final product starting this week.

The Oil Cooler grills will also be shipped pre-assembled so that all you have to do is use the four moutning screws to fasten them to each side.

I do not want to make a product that you will not be happy with in every way. I only want to turn out products that I would want to put on my RX-8 as well as you would want to do the same. If it isn't good enough for mine, it isn't good enough for yours. That is my way of doing things.

If after you receive your product you can think of a possible way to improve it to make it better at mounting or in quality and I am capable of redesigning it, I will replace your parts free of charge. I am already going to replace two of my test customers parts due to their suggestions which is part of the reason for my delay. This applies to the Oil Cooler Grills and Fog Light Accent Strakes of which I am the manufacturer.

Thanks truemagellan! That one looks great! I did a slight redesign on those a few months ago and it looks good. It's nice to know these are world-wide. :D

What was the redesign?

I have mine installed and it looks great!

I'll have to try to get a decent pic taken (if I can find someone to step on the brake for me while I take it)!

I bassically reduced the size of the RX-8 Logo so that it fits better in the oval light. Also, I laminate them together as yours is. Before, I made everyone tape them together one on top of the other. You have the new improved version. :D

Very cool. I really liked how the piece was laminated together.

I still had to trim a very small amount off the logo to get it to fit perfectly in the oval housing. But I am talking about a very small amount.

I told my wife that this will be the best bang for the buck modification that I will ever make to this car.....but I'm sure the strakes will be a close second!

I have your order, it has not been posted yet as I am still organizing everything.

To everyone:

I am in the process of entering in all of the information into a data base. As soon as I catch this part up, I will be sending out PDF file invoices of what you have ordered and paid for as a confirmation. I just got word of my sole operation of this business on Monday and it is taking me some time just to get organized so that I know what is ordered by who and how to contact everyone. There were several that were not posted yet and as time goes on, the method of knowing that your order is nearing shipment will change a bit so as to be less confusing and more informative. I appreciate everyone's patience as this is a monumental task.

Thank you everyone for your orders, past, present and future. I will do my very best to accomodate everyone and to epediate the manufacturing process. I have already lined up a professional auto painter that will be assisting me in the production of these fine products. I am awaiting the accent molds for the strakes and accents so that I can get back into full production early this coming week. I have already arranged for time off from my regular full-time career and so I can work diligenly to fulfill your requests as fast as humanly possible.

On an interesting note, my wife and I ate out at a Chinese Restaurant this past Sunday and my fortune cookie read: "You will be changing careers soon". I just chuckled and said now way...Monday morning my partner retired and so here I am...:D

( And yes, I know the Chinese Fortune Cookie is only a Western Civilization invention)

I read all this thread, and I'm very interested in fog lights strakes. It's mentionned they're available in color. Is there a picture of them, mounted on a car (Vel Red to be precise) ?

Thx
