Thanks. If others are going to overnight there, might be fun to meet up. Otherwise, a Super 8 near the Friday caravan meet point is fine.

Found a Red Roof Inn north of the city and just off 75 for about $55-60 a night. I could get you closer to the meeting spot, but the price goes up as does the crime rate if you want to stay reasonably cheap. Average cost in the cincinnati area is about $100 - $110 for April 28th.

The Mariemont Inn/Best Western is nice, close to my place and on the way to the meet spot, but it's $150 a night.

This was all just a few minutes worth of searching. I can dig into it a bit later, but it will give you an idea of pricing.

I talked to the owners of my local Cars and Coffee spot, and they're more than happy to have us meet there for the cincy meet up.

Dirt and I are gonna try to finalize the louisville and lexington meet up spots this week. We've picked up another cincy area 8, and at least three 7's from central ohio courtesy of the rx7club. Looks like another 7 from indiana will be meeting up with the louisville group as well

Hopefully there's an award for the best fuel mileage getting to DGRR! Partly it's running 3/4 time or so on the highway and probably part from having a low-mile engine. Before keeping regular records I was doing better - I think the mazmart oil pressure mod cost a little mpg. Around town is a killer of course. One thing that seems to make a significant improvement according to a ScanGauge, is to shift 1-3-5 or 2-4-6 when traffic impedes forward progress anyway. You might try that and see if you notice any difference. Also, I had to train myself to wait longer before pushing in the clutch on a coastdown. After a few seconds with the throttle closed, the PCM shuts off all fuel, so that distance travelled is fuel-free. As soon as the clutch pedal goes in, gas is supplied again to allow idling. YMMV!

If you are still driving down on Thursday, maybe we could meet up in Cincy around noon. I don't check in here often, but you can email me @ Redhawkjrt@comcast.net.

Hey guys - Count me in for a Cincy meet-up for the drive down Friday.
Also if anyone is interested, I live about 30 minutes North of downtown Cincy just off of I-71 and if anyone wants to save $$$ for upgrades they can stay Thursday night at my place if they want VS a hotel near crimeville (aka Cincy). I have 2 extra rooms with a Queen and a King bed up for grabs plus all the floorspace anyone else could want. If anyone is interested let me know and I will reserve you a spot! This is going to be such great fun!

-Wendy

Oh cool! Sign me up if you like. For me it's not so much about the $$ but about leaving my polished BB outside in the hotel parking lot all night next to lifted 4x4 pickups and minivans with 8 kids eager to get out and pee in the hotel pool. The meetup time in Cinci is such that I'd have to get up at 3 am and while that's a great time for getting home, it's a terrible time to get up!

@ crimeville. That's a hell of an offer Wendy . I would do the same, but the old man will be crashing with us in our only spare bedroom thursday night and my wife is wary of strangers and thinks I'm strange enough

Woot! less than 2 months to go!!!!!

I'm so stoked. I need to get on 7club.

Hey Kev. I think that we should just go ahead with the area that you suggested for the Lexington meet point, and if the caravans are bigger than we expected we can just take over that shell station, as I'm sure we will be dumping money there anyway.

I'm still pissed at you about that.

How much of a PITA is that going to be? I will be spending part of my tax return on that and the oil pressure mod.

Meh, I've had almost everything out to that point before when i did my hoses and radiator. Should only be about 2 hours of work give or take.

I got pretty lucky on that purchase. If pearl wouldn't have pointed out the funny team made, I wouldn't have seen it.
