Toronto & Detroit [Couple Of Rotary Pics]
The 09 RX-8 and 16x rotary display are from Detroit. Notice those circular rotary throwback tail clusters on the 09 RX-8. I love it. You can clearly see the size difference between the 13b rotor and 16x rotor in the display.
The kitted white RX-8 is from Toronto. Furai in the background.

Mr. Eccentric!!
How you been buddy??
It's been awhile since I've seen you post. Where have you been hiding?
The new RX-8 is great as long as you replace the stock front bumper with the new Mazdaspeed bumper. The stock bumper looks horrendous!
The Furai is fantastic as a concept car. Too bad you can never make something like that road legal.

Hey Neo,
Thanks. I'm still around, it's just I've been brutally inactive. My RX-7 had to pass smog last spring and there was a hole in the exhaust so they couldn't test it etc. Bunch of nonsense. I could have patched it, but it needed a new exhaust anyway. My car being an 89 is going to miss the 88 cutoff and as a result my car will have to be tested indefinitely going forward. They tossed that rolling 20 years rule some time ago. What brutal luck. Where do they get 88 from anyway? Why wouldn't they have just made it 90 for the cutoff? Start of a new decade.
So, without being able to obtain a plate sticker I didn't really drive the RX-7 last year other than a couple rides with an expired sticker. I didn't drive it much the summer before either really. I'm a bit rejuvenated now though because I spent that time getting together some parts; and with the dollar good, it was great timing. My car being an NA, and I don't want to pour a huge amount of money into creating some power I just kept things simple and I've got a bunch of handling stuff (mostly) that I'll be bolting up this spring. So I will without a doubt see you this summer.
My list is as follows:
Apexi intake (already on the car)
Sparco wheel (already on the car)
Mazdaspeed shift **** (what a great piece; already on the car)
RB springs
Eibach sways
Tein strut brace
RB exhaust
Fresh set of rotors (brake rotors that is) and Hawk pads
Genuine Mazda new old stock Series 5 GTUs / Turbo II front splitter
I've still got to source a set of lightweight 15's and some sticky rubber
And that's it. There will be no further modifications. That's the way the car will stay for the life of it.
Hope you are well. You miling up your FD?

Eccentric!
I know what you mean about the smog testing. My car will always be tested. Stupid smog law!
All this talk about global warming and what not, and we're still having a rough winter. I'm tired of this! I think I might look into moving down to San Diego or Orlando.
25yrs of this winter crap has done unbelievable damage to my ability to tan! lol
Sounds like I'll be seeing you this coming season. Last time I saw you we were both at Mosport for ALMS. That was awhile ago.
My car is essentially done. I've gotten the last few parts this year. Unfortunately I couldn't get 1 major part to finish the product. So if I don't find a good replica she might always be in "mod" mode.
Otherwise everythings been good.
I think I might have to drive it more this year. The lease on the 3 is coming up and I'm really over the limit if I continue to drive it the way I have. I just hope we have alot of nice days.
You coming out for the 1st meet of the year?

That's easy for you to say Neo, you're in the driver seat. You should try driving behind an RX7 with it's huge bloom of unburnt fuel spewing out.
Makes your eyes sting...
(wish I was fast enuf to pass a 7)
