Saw a Red 8 on 36th St NE heading south right at the stoplight of Marborough Train Station. Had Gunmetal rims (looked like Buddman's) and was an Asian driver. I don't think it was you Lamfc because I know your rims and you have strakes.

Saw a blue 8, with MT, sunroof, and black leather interior, parked at the Sunterra on 17th Ave (near Bow Trail) today in the mid-afternoon.

Anyone here?

We saw a silver southbound MacLeod Trail. Turned into Fisher Street around 70th Ave. Around 6 pm = The blue wasn't us this afternoon, we were driving around in the sun a little further south today.

Saw a silver or white (couldn't tell because it was getting dark) 8, no spoiler, Saskatchewan plates yesterday evening. It turned from eastbound Memorial to westbound Kensington, and then onto southbound Crowchild.

Ok so I was WAY out of my normal 'hood today. At McKenzie Superstore at around 6:45pm parking lot, I saw a Titanium 8 with F/R Accents, strakes, spoiler, side deflectors, front mud guards and i think rear mud guards. Had the tan interior and FRD 6 (or 5) winter rims along with Hankook winters (just like me!). Cracked windshield, orange corners and automatic shift paddles (tsk tsk). Left a note for you. Anybody here?

Well Blue that's my part of the world, but it wasn't me ... I haven't seen it, but I'm told there is another Titanium 8 in McKenzie Lake, maybe it was them?

The manager of the Canadian Stupid store (Superstore) owns a tit 8. I am not sure of where he lives but it is around the area all the time. It is usually parked in the Stupid store parking lot...

SirLeNerd;
It may have been me (Sunlight Silver on Deerfoot around noon) as I have been off all week, live in the area, take Deerfoot extensively, and have put about 2K on in the past week driving my visiting folks around. I didn't see any 8's but I have seen a couple of 7's recently (and waved to them both).

It begs the question;
Would the dealerships be amenable to sending info about the sites' address [existence] for all 8 owners of record? I think it would be beneficial to them as much as it might harm them by having us compare notes about service, warranty work, whatever....but look at how we love our 8's- it might be a fantastic selling tool. If nothing else they should be given the site address by salesfolks as a pre-sale primer, and to answer more technical questions.

I'm not sure if they'd be willing to or not....

I am not sure if they want to be associated with this site. there are some areas that are not so... politically correct, so I guess if they know about it and ileave it up to their discretion as to who may not be offended of the content of this site, they can inform them of our existance, I can't see them using it as a benefit, unless they have control of the site. etc.... (Liable).

I think the last thing the dealers want is informed RX8 drivers around.

That's pretty lame how the owner of Superstore owns an AUTO 8 with a cracked windshield. You'd think he'd have the cash to fix it.

Oh I forgot to add that the Superstore Titanium 8 had those glowing tire air caps (kinda like Lamfc or was it Buddman?).

Informed 8 owners? Oh no! Dealers will have the garages full of 8's getting free work done (PCM, brakes, etc). Ha ha.

This may sound stupid, but if some creative type (definitely not me) could make a nice "flyer" to place nicely on people's 8's (ala BlueFrenzy's note) to introduce them to the club and us nice people :-) We could keep a couple in our cars "just in case"?

Comments?

Yes, I suppose that would be a decent idea... Anyone have any ideas on who would be a good 8 owner to get to start that ball rolling?

Likely would have to get permission from the site owners to use their name.
Should be cordial and general like to not sound like Amway salespeople.
Should be posted publicly so we can just go to the site and print a copy or two.

Ha ha ... SirLeNerd, I was thinking of the same thing with the flyers! Well not a flyer, but a pre-written note. The last note I left was kinda ghetto (one of those fax usage reports that the fax prints up). My only concern was that a flyer of sorts would look too much like an advertisment (ie 100% guarantee on weightloss or Gifted Psychic) and would be taken negatively.

Oh today I saw a yellow 8 driven by an asian guy going west on 36th Ave and roughly 52ndSt. I think it's the same guy I saw a few months back driving near Sunridge Mazda. Anybody?

Okay flyer was a bad choice of words :-)
A small note would be great and hopefully not taken negatively.

The last time we placed a note on a windshield, it worked great, we had a new 8 show up at COP for a meet. I told them simply that I was another 8 driver, that we have a club that meets every once in awhile and that there is a great place for tech info, news about meets, pictures etc... and gave the website for them to check it out themselves.

Anyway. it worked out well.

So I was visiting a friend in DouglasDale (?) area (near the McKenzie Superstore) and saw a silver or titanium 8 parked in a driveway. I didn't get a chance to look at the specifics of the car cuz I was zooming by. I have a feeling that it's you SirLeNerd since you mentioned you live around that area

Nope not me, my office is in the Douglasdale Business Park though. I live in McKenzie Towne (Prestwick Side). Usually park in the back (hopefully building a garage this year).
As a side note, I saw another Titanium 8 on 114th Ave SE, around 12:10pm today. We exchanged waves. It was clean and had what appeared to be 35% tint on 5 windows. Anyone here?
