How did you tell that I'm a fan of TF?? ha ha .. is it that obvious. It's funny because it was my love of Transformers that actually led me to seeing the MazdaUSA site with the transforming rx8 (aka Meister). From then on, it was love!

Seeing as that all those BC guys are doing winter cruises, I think we should organize a winter Calgary RX8 lunch then cruise one of these days. Any suggestions on the destination?

Hey my brother informed me that he either a silver or grey 8 near Village Square Leisure Center (heading towards Sunridge). I thought I had the entire NE to myself. Anybody here?
.
I work by the Nortel plant on 49st, but I rarely go east or south when the roads are not good. In the summer I take 84st down to 22X though- but I haven't had my car in the summer yet.

As far as a destination...always pretty risky with the weather around here until at least March [and often into July! ] Westbound though is always nice but I don't know what is around the NW that would be a good place to munch. But if after SuperBowl Sunday- I'm interested.

Hell yes! I've been collecting Transformers since I was a little kid in the 80's. Still do!

HardBody you do have a point there in the roads being all dangerous (not cuz of us but SUV drivers who are aiming to crash into us). Maybe we'll just do lunch or something then. Hmm ... guess I don't rule the NE now that you guys mentioned that you are around.

This is little bit off topic, but do anyone out there use microfiber towels to dry their car after a wash? if you do, where can you buy them?

and for BlueFrenzy: I am also collecting Transformers toy. and I love the new BinalTech and the master piece Prime. haha, sorry, this is so off topic!!

Someone should set up a lunch, and I hope more 8 owner can come, just think about 5 or 6 different colors rx8 park together in a parking alot. that will be so cool:>

I use this cloth called PVA Drying Cloth... I don't think it's microfibre but it works very well for me. I think I got it from Walmart.

A luncheon is an awesome idea! You got my vote

I saw a black 8 turning into Rocky Ridge tonight at around 5:15pm....

Ok, you obviously didn't see my other post claiming single ownership rights to Rocky Ridge. If you live here, you must move! :D

We're supposed to claim neighborhoods? Hmmm, I've got a problem. I had the first one in Silver Springs, no problem there. Then 2 months ago we moved to Edgemont, and I know BARK has a similar TiGray RX-8, but he purchased about 5 months after me - so who has seniority?

Oh hell, I'll just claim the entire NorthWest Calgary as my neighborhood - unless someone else in the NW purchased before July 22, 2003? I won't insist that you move, though - you just have to kick in monthly to the 'Buy Gord a RB exhaust' fund, then you can stay! (and it is a really good cause)

Regards,
Gordon

I'm at a higher elevation so I win! :D

Besides, I have the longest distance to drive to work so I claim the Northwest.
(don't argue, my family owns a concrete company...I can make a pair of shoes for you...one size fits all)

Hey did you get the SSP #61 yet?

Sort of, almost... !

I had it in for my 24K km service last Thursday at Kramer, and SSP #61 was one of the things they were supposed to do. I had asked about the WDS version and she told me they had 25.11 - which sounded newer than the 25.2 needed for the latest flash version. BUT, when they phoned me back that day, they said they were told that day to NOT flash with the current WDS as it still had the faulty flash that generates false CELs. There were two other parts needed that were back-ordered, so when I go back in a week or two I should get the SSP #61 done... hopefully!

Regards,
Gordon

Sorry Gord, but some chronology might be in order here.

I concede you had the good sense to acquire your 8 earlier than I; however, I moved into Edgemont when John Laurie Blvd and Shaganappi was a three-way intersection, with a stop sign controlling the Shaganappi traffic.

I think it's possible though, that I had the first 8 in Edgemont (Dec/03).

Cheers

I just saw my first YELLOW 8. It was around noon at a stop light going west on 32nd Ave and 36th St NE (waiting for the c-train to pass). It was an Asian driver. Had a spoiler, side deflectors and I think rear deflectors.

Saw a Silver 8 parked at the Pacific Place mall (old Franklin Mall) near the entrance. I left you a note. I'm surprised you park so close to the entrance where there's tons of in and out traffic (you were sandwiched between two SUVs when I saw you). Oh, get rid of that Sunridge Mazda sticker! Anybody here?

Ha ha .. lamfc .. you are a stalker. That's cool if you leave a note. I left a note for the silver 8 guy. Go ahead and take a pic but my car's DIIRRRTY. Stupid melting snow splashed me pretty much after I washed it. It's an uphill battle. You should swing by my clinic and say hi or something.

Saw a clean TiGray coming out of Edgemont this morning. Great looking car! (No, not mine, the other TiGray that lives in Edgemont)

Hi BARK! :D How's the wagon shopping going?

Regards,
Gordon
