lol, fera, you worry too much man. we are a friendly bunch. also, i would think its safe to say that everyone thats coming is following this thread along so we will all be on the look out for you now. dont worry. my first time meeting these guys was on this same cruise 2 years ago. i didnt know anyone but i imidiately felt welcome and part of the group.

 

I might have to cut the ride short and come directly to the shwa from gravnhusrt, my boss needs me to work, he wants me to be there all day but i told him the only way i'm staying all day is if i get to rip the 8 down the runway on monday.

Just letting you all know that the forecast is calling for rain on Sunday/Monday... The good news is that its supposed to be Sunny with like +17c on Saturday though

 

Well ill be there rain or shine so long as footman is there rain or shine....although i should mention now that i may or may not be driving an rx8 by the weekend. if all goes according to plan i will have some new, older wheels. but still a fun sporty-ish car. so hopefully you guys wont shun me. haha

 

well thats all good... but I really think warm, dry, sunny weather is well worth the difference to maybe reschedual if possible this weekend.

 

Rain or shine it doesn't matter. I'm hoping it's not so maybe we can arrange ourselves so we can get some photos, if everyone shows up at least for 12:30 that would be cool. I don't think there's alot of pics with that many 8s on this site outside of a show.

Conversely speaking, what may appear to be beautiful sunny skies at our meet point could be dark/raining up by Southwood Rd. 13.

When I mentioned Saturday, it was actually the weekend of the 23rd... So you all can't meet a day earlier? But I guess your right about the weather changes being 150 km away.

So i really really hate to do this, but im bowing out of the cruise. I appologize but i have quite a few legit reasons.

I was planning to have my new (older) car by the weekend and i would show up in that but there was some trouble at the bank so the transfer wont be done before the weekend. My rx8s tires are on the wear bars and a slight dusting of rain today plus the cold weather.... i was all over the road. My ABS kicked in backing out of my driveway and on every left turn i had to make with any haste was done totally sideways. A leaf covered winding road in cold temperatures and with a likelyhood of rain will be the end of me....

not to mention I could really use that 60+ bucks in gas i will undoubtably burn. I am really annoyed that i cant make this cruise especially because i didnt do anything with the 8 club this year and now i wont have an 8 anymore....oh well. life goes on right?

Money is tight and this car is expensive no matter how you look at it. Im dangerously under paid, dragging down the average for final year auto apprentices.....Hopefully this new car will be the saving grace im looking for. and still enough fun to keep the car guy i cant supress happy

Anyways, like i said, sorry to have to bail out. i was so looking forward to this, but i would rather bow out now than just not show up on game day like others likely will....sorry guys and enjoy this cruise. im sure its going to be awesome.

I'm down on tread with the Miata. Coming home tonite was a little jarring since I started to see some "flakes". Luckily I thinks its just water turning slightly frosty because the roads just display some wetness to them.

I'm going to be watching the weather network like a hawk. I think it might be time to bring out the snow tires.

Take up the offer for a ride. I would offer, but I think my girl will be joining me for the cruise. Although, with the constant threat of rain, I might have to bow out as well. Wouldn't want to risk it, you know what I mean?

But so far, I'm in.
