Mazda and Dealer giving free maintenance!
My dealership includes free scheduled maintenance on all Mazdas - they call it the freedom driving club. Normally, one would expect this "freebie" would reduce the buyer's negotiating power - but with the 8, I had no negotiating power to speak of, so it was really "free". They cover everything (wiper blades, brake pads, all fluids except windshield cleaner and gas, etc.)
Now that Mazda Canada is offering free sched maintenance due to the hp snafu, I'm in a pickle. 2 parties are offering me the same free perk. I presume that Mazda Canada will now be picking up the tab for that part of my Freedom Driving Club that is covered by their recent offer.
I think I already know how far I'll get negotiating with Mazda Canada - any ideas on how I can recoup some of the value from the previously offered dealership free maintenance? I was thinking something along the lines of getting free accessories ... any other brilliant strategies?

Dealing with dealers is always tricky......
As a strategy, ask for the following perks since the Free Servicing is being covered by Mazda.
Full access to their wash bay. Includes use of all cleaning materials, liquids, etc...
Free use of one of their new demo models for when your vehicle is in their hands for maintenance.
Free service manual, including wiring diagram booklet.
Full tank of gas when you leave after any scheduled maintenance. (make sure u run the sucker dry b 4 drop off) :D
I'll think of more later.
