Hi, I am so happy, just picked up my Velocity Red RX8 GT last night... what a dream come true... The car is great.

Just wondering I have search the thread in Canada Forum.. I was just wondering if any know where I can buy the Meguair NXT wax. I need to get ready to wash my car once it get's dirty so want to be prepare.

I live in Richmond Hill/Thornhill area... have been to canadian tire and don't see them on the shelf...

Only place I've found NXT is locally is at Carquest. They have them in stock at the Etobicoke (many warehouse) parts dept. IIRC they are $38.97 for the Tech Wax and $18.xx for the Spray Booster. I got mine from the states, but just bought both of those products for a friend from there.

I bought some at Canadian Tire in Ottawa about a week or two ago and I even have the receipt . . . The product number is 39-2861-8 and it was $29.99, I would just call another store and have them check their stock.

Still trying to decide if NXT is any better than the Dri Wash I have been using for years on all my cars. I have done a couple spot tests on the red 8 and red Audi (old heavily oxidized winter car). I think Dri Wash has the edge in application flexibility (goes on easily and won't mess up dark rubber, plastic and glass) and NXT might have a slight edge in richness when first applied but then I can't see any difference after a couple days between adjacent sections. I need to do the whole car next, the spot tests were inconclusive. In any case you won't be disappointed, NXT is pretty shiny stuff . . .

Thanks for all the information... I have finally found a bottle at Canadian Tire... Seems like they don't stock them in some location.... for sure I am going to try this out when I wash my car for the first time...

BTW, anyone know where I can get the clear bra install around here in Richmond Hill for a good price. I know this is sort of a repeated question, I did so some searching but the thread sort of ended without an answer so if anyone know of any place that would be good...

Since I'd just pick up the car last night, want to get this done before I get a chip..

any information would be great.

thanks

Good quality install of 3M clear bra is more important than good price.
Its a "skilled" application requiring time and patience that if not done correctly, (eg. bubbles, dirt/sand specs under film) will bug/annoy you just like a poor cheap paint job.
A basic quick kit instal is in $350 range. Full front bumber with lower air damn around curves and into mouth was about $550. DEC Detailing in Brampton is who I entrust my toys too. They do quality work for "fair value" rates
