So I'm thinking we just get everyone to pitch in 10 bucks.

If we get all 22 people showing from the 8 club thats 220.

Around 70 of it can be used to purchase the two grills and charcoal. The rest of the 150 can be put towards food and drinks.

I went this morning to CDN Tire, I think charcoal would be a btter option, than carrying propane in our cars.

But we would need two thou, just so we can have a proper pace if we're feeding 20+ mouths for the 8 club.

Guys,

It looks like the weather is going to play against us on this one.

That's gotta suck!
I was hoping the weather would be nice. If it does rain like they're prediciting, this will be the first year I will skip on the event.

Lets keep our fingers crossed.

meh.. right now they're predicting sun / rain... I'm going either way. We wont actually have a proper idea on the weather until about a day or two from the event in any case.

As for the BBQ... I'm still thinking propain... it's less of a pain in the *** to clean up afterwards.. and it's easy to start n all that.

as for the weather, im glad chris is as harcore as me. I'll be there rain or shine. yeah, it'll be sort of shitty if it rains but im a former rally nut. I woke up at 4 in the morning last novermber to drive for 4 hours just for a good spot to sit in the snow and -20 all day to watch cars fly by. A bit of rain is nothing.

so everyone put their big boy pants on and come out, rain or shine. I dont want to hear anyone wussing out.

as for the BBQ stuff, chris, what do you want me to bring? I feel kinda bad just bringing an empty cooler.

Oh, and BTW scott, even if your 8s still in the body shop thats no excuse to not come to this. as i recall, there is another mazda in your stable. Yes, you will be in the doghouse for leaving the wife behind on mothers day AND stealing her car to do it, but you better be there. lol.

Greg,

You're truly hardcore!! There's no way I would sit out in -20C to watch anything, let alone a car rally! lol

It's nice to see how everyone pressures everyone else into going. Even leaving their wives/gf's/so's behind for the day. lol

I know that wouldn't fly with my family, let alone my girl. Which is why I would only be able to come out for the lapping. As soon as that's done, I would have to head home and spend the rest of the day with my Mum.

But, if the weather is going to be shitty, that just means I'll be able to sleep in that morning and wait to head directly to Aurora.
Yes, it would suck to miss the parade lap, but there's always next year.

Lets hope the weather prediction clears up for Sun.

If it's going to be shitty weather and I have to drive down from Ottawa without a guaranteed spot in the lapping, I will likely not bother.

Well looks like my 1st Baseball league game is scheduled for 11:00am on the West end of T.O. for May 10th. $@&*$*&@!!! Sigh, fate really doesn't want me to take this machine on the track. On the plus side, I have an invite to race Pavel Kubina in his Porsche GT3 at Cayuga in June. Ya, I know I'm gonna get dusted, but let's see if he drives like he plays...maybe then I have a chance.

I may be screwed for the whole summer, my tranny is getting swaped in the next week or so. Won't be able to pound her for a good 5-10,000k...first summer with her and I'm gettin the old shaft.
