Advantage...lighter....looks nice...may help waterpump cavitation at high rpm's

Disadvantages: Cost..may decrease waterpump and alternator output at low RPM's

Not likely to notice much except it looks nice

Main advantage is a more responsive throttle -- which means RPMs also drop faster when you clutch in..

Waterpump and AC will be underdriven by 20%. Not ideal if you track your car a lot but fine for street use.

Overall I'm happy with mine. With only pulley +intake +exhaust I am putting down 192 at the wheels on a Mustang dyno... something tells me that's not just intake + exhaust.

Not worth it, worth it if it's free. But lying 50 or more CDN, not worth it. Your revs stop faster when you clutch in. But it's alreay hard enough rev matching, you wanna make it even harder?

The throttle response is greatly improved...I really dont know if it make the car faster but it does feel " peppier"......I dont find any difference or increased difficulty with rev matching with the pulley?

You can tell the rpms will go up faster on the low end and around 6K rpms will jet! Not a bad mod at all just kinda pricy. Have fun!

Dude if you can't rev match with the regular pulley you need to practice a hell of a lot more

I love the faster RPM drops with the pulley. Actually makes shifting much better if you can shift quickly. I find the shifts line up more easily on their own. Should be 10x better with a SS

Al says NOOOOO don't do it!!

But I drove Thunders (thx thunder!!!!) has it, plus plus tho and damn it was nice. RPMs fly up and feels so much more the way our 8's should. It's a toss up. What to do what to do!

I have one for sale - done about 20,000 kms . Took it off when I fitted my turbo but I think it's a good N\A mod .
How does US$95 shipped sound ? Still have belts and bolts - everything you need .

I enjoy my AP pulley a lot. I am installing a Grounding Kit today to help alleviate some of the issues caused by the AP pulley. I should have a better idle and overall power distribution at low rpm's.

I think bonding kits are a waste of money.

I like the pulley and lighter flywheel/ clutch as they improve throttle response/ liveliness of the car -- more like a race car!!!

Jay, are still planning to swing by to borrow my old one?

Grounding kit is more for the amp I have. It's a loop ground system. Easy to do, can't really see any of the wires. It's really cheap. It can be done for $20. Can't lose for that price.

I ran an agency power pulley, and the RB guage pod. I never had an overheating problem on the track, the water temps always peaked around 225, but never got above that. I noticed a lot freer revving with the pulley on.

If your car is a street car running all the factory accessories like , A/C, wipers, radio, defroster etc dont do it. Do you really think Mazda engineers are stupid enough to leave power and economy on the table just because? These people have to design a pulley system that will do it all.........run to redline without over heating, keep the battery charged no matter what you turn on etc. Unless your going to sustain over 8500rpm, the factory set up is the best way to go by far.

Where did you get your wiring for that price?
