Yep - saw that - a pisser.

However, who launches from 5th gear anyways? I guess it was a good little exercise to demonstrate turbo lag but as Timbo says, you learn to drive around such things.

I've met a fellow who has fitted it. He came to the last Sydney cruise down to Wollongong.

He's thrilled with the results and reckons it is money well spent. However, I'm yet to ride in one much less drive it.

I reckon R/M would find a lot more customers if people had the opportunity to test drive it for themselves. Anyone know if this is available?

He was offering test drives, but I think the demo may have been sold

If you want to try polar opposites, test drive the Mazda 6MPS...
Have done that & totally agree - if only you could combine the best traits of these two motors - purrrfect !

i think the best thing to do is just drop in a 20b twin turbo motor into the 8 and laugh all the way to the bank,
but just to add to the above comments there is a company that has a supercharged rx8 in smithfield sydney who have one and are willing to let people drive it if they are interested in bolting on one of their kits, i forgot the name but if anyone is interested im sure i can find it.

That's Rotor Master, or R/M as short-handed above. So they still have a demo car

they also race their cars 1/8 mile not 1/4 mile like the rest of the world, its a crazy upgrade i would be all in for it but i think that the price differnce for australia would be fenomenal, probably more like 35grand.

i think ill just wait and see what is available in australia in the next couple of months, just after the weekend i know caio ( dave ) will have some figures on his turbo kit.
also i heard he will have video evidence., we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

yes caio is banned, car looks great, csio sent me the videos to my email and i linked them here, he is also taking the car to the 1/4 mile to run some times on pump gas and street tires.
he will send me the video and i will link it here for everyone to see.
The car is still in development and he is waiting to rack up the k's so he can finally show everyone the kit works even after 10,000ks

He was banned, not given a time out. He broke the forum rules once to many times.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Eric, it wasn't Hymee that banned him (don't think Hymee has that power, anyway) nor did it relate to Ciao's turbo vs Hymee's...so your conflict of interest comment is out of line!

Timbo is correct. I can't ban anyone.

Be very careful though, Ezzy - Mod Bashing is grounds for being banned. If you are targetting that conflict of interest comment towards me, my counter is simple. Just look at the cooperative relationship Richard Paul and myself have developed.

So are you taking the turbo to the Bracket Meet tonight, Dave?

Cheers,
Hymee.

BTW - I can make posts to the "Naughty Childeren" thread, with something along the lines of "Joker_X has been warned for Mod Bashing".

It was me who banned him for violating forum rules. If you've got issues with that, take it up with me and don't make thinly veiled comments directed at Hymee.

honestly guys i would like to know what the reason was for getting caio( dave) banned if it isnt a big secret, i know that he didnt get any warning ( what i have gathered from forum members )also he was accused of posting under 2 differnt names, obviously if he was doing this one of the forum moderators would have an IP address log from both names to see if they match, does any mod have any information like that to suggest the allegations against him were true.

I also realy have no idea who this hymee guy is, or really never met dave only interested in a turbo kit for my rx8, but i can see a lot of competition as towho has the best and most reliable turbo kit, who doesnt caio just get unbanned so we can hear what he has to say about the kit if nothing at least learn about whats available in performance mods for our 8s.
