rx8 versus ...

Just wondering those of you who have been to "track days" etc (or anywhere else for that matter ) what other cars has the rx8 beaten? ie how about an ss commodore? What about a wrx? I've looked for times and from what I can see they seem comparable but has anyone had first hand experience?

I had a bit of run with my friend's Soarer V8 and was pretty disappointed that I couldn't pull away from him. A 12yo car with 100000 on the clock was as fast as my baby Given that experience I would have thought the SS would be much faster again, for about $15000 less...

Any FWD, thats even lightly modded, i suppose?

Your best chance with any rear wheel driver is a smart two(turbo).:D

But other than that, don't race. Think about your clutch and tyres,

and of course never forget about....*DRUM ROLLS*...PETROL!

If you actaully wan to win however, LOL, find some mountain twisties or take it to the track.

Actually the RX-8 is very quick on the race track.

I have raced my RX-8 at Winton against FPV GT falcons, Clubsports, WRX,s and 350Zs and I have beaten them all. :D

A lot of it comes down to driver skill though. I have beaten Ferraris and Porsches in my RX-7 when I probably shouldnt be able too.

Its just goes to show that you can have the best car in the world but it wont help if the drivers not having a good go.
