Jus think how many you'll sell once your brand ambassadors get out on the street with the first batch.

I've had a very similar adaptor on my car for a few months now as part of my 'dowell pin crack bypass' system .

Sorry if this is the only thread that I found to read from start till this point. This build is very interesting, and I can't wait to see what the finish product will be.

So you got internet access over there as well?? I thought you'd be disappeared from the world of the internet for a week!

Cheers,
Mark.

PS - Can Rhys do a brake job on my sh!tbox? Needs new rear shoes and slave cylinders. I should just do it myself. I'm a bit sick of the pedal going nearly to the floor, and the handbrake not doing anything!! Rear shoes are paper thing LOL. Sorry for the OT, but since I have your attention

Once again I haven't been able to find any time to do anything directly on the car since last December.

Most of you will have realised by now that additional to the supercharger I purchased for the NC I also put my hand up for one of the "Hymee Enhanced" production kits for my own daily driven RX-8. Due to the fact that I'm local to Performance Design Australia (http://www.performancedesign.com.au/) and a pretty keen Mazda rotary enthusiest, I offered my assistance to finalise the RX-8 supercharger kit's "bill of materials" and installation media whilst undertaking the installation of my unit. As of last night, the kit installation has been completed with no oil or water leaks, and with just a dyno tune to go.

Here's some piccies of the kit installed

....and a short vid....

The items that are transferable to the NC are as follows:

(1) Oil Take-off Block (as previously shown)

(2) Supercharger Oil Supply Line - Just different length - refer above piccie....it's the stainless steel braided line

(3) Remote mounted engine oil filter and lines

(4) Vacuum/Boost Lines (Schematic - not shown)

I've continued to acquire other parts and components over the past few months that I'll refer to as they make their way onto the car.

I'm really looking forward to getting a taste (and some driving experience) of the performance that a screw type supercharger can deliver when coupled to a high revving rotary engine in a superb handling chassis (especially one that will be over 300kg lighter and up to 60 hp more).

Cheers,
Danny

ps. Hopefully the next installment won't be too far away.

That's always going to be a concern when you stick what is effectively a windblocker and an air heater in front of the engine radiator. There are ways and means to address this potential issue....until such time as it has been on the dyno and seen some track work, I won't be able to determine a course of action. I'm certainly not going to go out and stick in a thicker all aluminium radiator without having a feel for what the heat rejection capacity shortfall of the standard radiator may be. I have the factory option right hand oil cooler that is yet to be installed which will give some extra capacity. Whether it is enough on it s own? Time will tell.

Cheers,
Danny

/\ I added a 2nd water radiator (where the 2nd oil cooler would normally go) .
That plus raising the IC about 3" above where you have it plus cutting out the diamonds in the stock grill and raising the number plate .
With all that done I no longer have an issue .

This post makes me want to buy another RX8!

Is there an option to go with a lager blower (that still fits under the engine cover) for more power? (it might not even be needed)

Cost for the kit to get engineered?
