Brett will be after the transmission , as the 5 speeds have better ratios for turbo powered rotas over the 6 speed, which bretts is.

Nice video pity it wasn't a grey one.

Yeah I live in Takanini, and daily driven. Still proudly sporting the Mystery tour sticker! Any plans to buy again Miss8?

There's quite a few 8's in Takanini, but im not sure that any of them follow the rx8club forum.

Hi Bluerx

What part of the under tray is cracked? Have a look at this tread, https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/move-rx8-c-condensor-230305/
It shows you the one I made to fit my aircondensor on too. The under tray is a pretty easy thing to make. Its just a piece of sheet alloy 2mm thick, cut to shape using the original as a pattern.
In fact I have another one that I made that I not using as it was made to fit my intercooler onto, and I'm not going to use it for anything. I will probably cut it up and use the alloy to make something else.
Have fun

Rotaman

Also - mine was badly cracked (possum at 100km/hr does that) so i just riveted some thin panel panel steel over the crack to re-enforce it . Has lasted like that for years .

Hey Guys!
Sorry for the almost 6 month thread revival but looking for some NZ specific input. I have a 2004 its white (on white te37s if you have seen it I'm based in Epsom and Papakura area in the AKL) Like Miss8 you get some looks being a girl driving a RX8.

Anyway point of this is I'm looking to drop out the Cat and put in a mid pipe. the BHR has massive support on here but it seems pretty hard to get a hold of all the way over here. Any point in the right direction as to finding one or something similar would be great.

Hi marleyxo

Welcome, the easiest and cheapest way to get rid of the cat is take out the cat pipe, find a long steel rod or screw driver and use it to bash the insides out of the cat. It takes a little bit of work, but isn't too differcult. Be careful and don't breath the dust from the cat. Put it back in place and off you go again.
Unless there is a specific reason that you want a mid pipe?
Other wise talk to Daniel at Adrenalin R, he makes very good quality exhausts/etc. His ph number is 06 8703526wk. Or you can get hold of him on Trade Me.
Hope this is helpful

Some good advice from Rotaman .
It really comes down to what you want to spend . Removing the cat material from the stock midpipe as described above will be as effective as any midpipe you might buy .

Smile ....

my only reason really for choosing the mid pipe was it appears to be a bit difficult in NZ and expensive to source another CAT to use to pass a W.O.F ....... but if i can cut the inside out and the outside will still look lie its there (for inspection purpose) that will save some $$$

I have a stock mid pipe with cat removed. No probs with Wofs at all. The only time it's an issue is with emission compliance when it enters nz.

Haven't seen any white 8s in papakura lately, how often are you down this way?

Ok cool. About to go get a WOF as soon as i replace the front left shock (which is a pain in the *** and waste of $$ as I'm about to swap over to coil overs) so i will give it a go after i get the WOF.

Im around the Drury/ Papakura area a few times a week
