whew, glad i made the cut!
chicago is beautiful right now. no flooding, just the opposite (major drought). gas prices are making everyone whine, meh. slowly the weather will turn and i'll have to decide to put snow tires on or get a winter car. think id rather the snow tires :D

More drought than flood and very few of us will need to choose between snow tyres and a winter car.
Must be a bummer having a car that handles like the 8 and having to drive it in slush.
I think I'd save myself the frustration and just get a winter car. Mind you, your winter lasts a helluva lot longer than ours does (if you could call the odd frosty morning winter
).

LOL, slush is nuttin ... it's the 4 feet of snow one morning that has me wonderin ... tho I know myself, I'm a stubborn little thing that would get a winter car and not want to drive it while I've got the pretty 8 sittin there smiling at me.
Winters around here are pretty ...until New Year's. Then the snow all turns gray as it piles up on the side of the road. Roads get icy and slushy from the salt they spread to melt it ... not to mention what the salt does to your car. Even my red will turn white from the salt. ick

I have the perfect solution for you. 
Move down here!
The skies are blue (usually), we actually pray for snow in winter so we can ski on about 5 different mountains, our emergency services people know where their butts are and, of course, the people are friendly! :D :D :D

OK So we are dreaming BIG here -
So we are going to the home town of our beloved RX8s - Japan
ALL EXPENSES PAID BY THE JAPAN GOVERNMENT and/or shared with MAZDA AUSTRALIA (I can already hear the big YEH rights or sarcasm coming)
They paid for our shipping of cars, our FIRST CLASS flights and 5 star accomodation. They even give us ANY accessories we want FREE of charge :D
