Agreed. LJ's car has some body kit add-ons that don't appear on mine (e.g. chin spoiler). His rims are SSR's (Type C/Comps) in gunmetal grey.

heh heh, I didn't think my car was all that distinctive - which is why I referred to the only visible things I could think of.

Taka - is that it?

Cheers,
Hymee.
Do you have a bug swatter in Qld? I will ask if Mrs Taka is still interested, since winter is coming - it is not a "must have" item until next summer. So I can get you to bring it to the Nats. EDIT: Just read your reply. Oh I think now you meant the blue lamp... I don't need those. Cannot have it in the house since lil Taka is also attract to those blue lights

Yes Gomez it is the exact model

Mrs Taka put one of those in there and likely they did not ask about my Tein :

I am just happy that they take it away but not fine me. I did play I was innocent

NO..... here are the reasons

1. that was a "the lounge" post, ie. off-topic. didnt they tell you what "the lounge" section is all about when they appointed you as a moderator?

2. why did my post got singled out by you when there were ppl calling each other / themselves [quote] "bastard(s)" [unquote], talking about [quote] bug zappers [unquote] and zillions of other off-topic posts ie. not rx8 or forum related)in the lounge section of this forum?

3. i found it more difficult to accept your moderating when you started a NON-rx8 related post in the Aussie regional section with your weekend test driving thread. correct me if im wrong.... wouldnt it be better suited in the "General" section of the forum? or maybe there are just double standards for some and one way street for some of us.

4. can you pls advise why you have not posted anything in Dave's DVD thread? a) it is an off-topic thread posted outside the lounge section, 2) publicly announcing pirated copy/ies of copyrighted TV shows.... (not getting you in a trouble Dave, im just proving a point, and using your thread as an example.)

i didnt think my post was a PM material. if it concerns more than 2 ppl, then it is okay to post.

yes, it concerns more than 2 ppl! why.... you may ask... i have been looking forward to catch up with few fellow forum members in melbourne, havent been able to do that before moving into a new apartment.... and spending time with Kall helped me "not to" miss my 8 as much...... so i guess my post was rx8 AND forum related after all.....

thats all i have to say for the time-being

No problem Eric.

Just to clarify - I thought by making it clear that my thread was off topic by using the abbreviation 'OT' in the title that I was following correct protocol. People needn't look in there expecting to see RX8 posts and be disappointed.

I didn't post in the lounge because I didn't want to bog the lounge down with my fairly obscure query and also wanted (for my own convenience) responses contained in one thread rather than scattered through the lounge posts.

As for the second point - true enough I suppose but it's hardly the first time that such practices have been mentioned and the mods can delete the thread if they consider the topic risky. I'll edit some posts to reduce the risk they entail.

Agreed Andrew. I wasn't being sniffy at all - just clarifying my actions in case others wondered.

I think both Timbo and Eric should take this kind of dispute to PM. Timbo could have made his comment privately and Eric could have responded privately. This public sniping (and I'm using that term neutrally) at each other doesn't do anyone any good.

As for stalag 13 - I've been trying very hard to be positive and ignore the negative stuff. If we all did the same we might get back to being enthusiastic about the car instead of criticising each other.

I think it's clear that this post was addressed to Kall, and only Kall. As such, I agree with timbo that it could have been sent as a PM. That's why we have the PM facility.

Just forum etiquette, really. No big deal, it's just many feel uncomfortable reading other people's diaries.

That's all timbo was on about. Chill Ezzy, timbo wasn't attacking you.....

Geez...calm down Eric...I apologise

I simply commented on a post which seemed (a) fairly personal and (b) only about 2 people and I couldn't understand why you'd post that in a public forum.

As to the rest, well, I'm not a moderator here...never have been, never will be so it's all as much of a mystery to me as it is to you. And my test drive thread? Well, that is simply about other cars in the market that one might consider as an alternative to the 8, which I am coming up to replacing. I was simply relating my experience in a pretty self-evidently jocular way...but also seriously seeking input on alternatives...and there aren't many... surely the satire in Pug test made that fairly obvious.

Chill, mate, chill
