Sorry Hymee...but the metaphor had to be extended

I'd be interested in an update from 'mez about his search for an XR8 replacement. Carn mate...the Pug 407 sedan will be available with that V6 diesel twin turbo soon

How can I make my car louder?? I want the rotary sound??? Car is too quiet...will a cat back do it?

On my way home now....read enough about carpet and curtains.....I have been doing so much renovating on the house that I almost thought it was a real comment about home decorating.. jeez am I a dufus or what...feeling a bit old myself now!!

Anyway polished floor boards are the way to go....easy to care for and look nicer...read into it what you may but I was talking about the wood!

How do we spice up the lounge anyway???

Yep, a cat-back is the way to go. Speak to Hymee, as I have one of his, and it makes a rather nice improvement without being too noisy or droning when cruising. And....as well as the immense additional power you'll feel you have...it'll keep the boot a whole lot cooler

Cue Hymee's sales pitch on the rotary sound (yes, a catback has satisfied most of us).

As for the floorboard approach - they can be, ahem, slippery when wet.

I really feel at times that you are telling us that you aren't coming to the Nats this year... There's no doubt about it - Gomez sure likes you... There's no way that I would get away with that comment!

why are ppl talking about cars in the lounge (ie. off-topic) section of a car forum?

RC, maybe give Kall a buzz, she is looking to change her exhaust.... (hint... PM would be a good idea, but then again, you are a female, you get away with murder here..... maybe)

Well now I'm confused.

I thought the lounge was where we discussed non-RX8 stuff (including other cars). Or can you only discuss non-car stuff here and make a new 'OT' thread elsewhere if you want to talk about non-RX8 cars?

Too hard for me <departs lounge>

Bugger arguing over cars, topics etc, I can't believe we let RC get away with mentioning WOOD. I think she was making fun of us guys.

Correction TT - she was talking about "the wood", not any old wood, so I don't think she was talking about you.

Oh yeah and BTW I am amazed that I can get away with it too.....with what though.... I was talking about the tree type of wood....not a 4 wood or a golf stick...club thingy....come to mention it anything that is typed along the lines of this thread is starting to get a bit weird...<departs to make the trip home...will leave you to ponder!!>

I use a polish impregnated cotton wadding I bought 20 years ago at Rocca's in Adelaide. The one tin lasted me all these years and I'd been hanging out to find someone who sells it.....I was nearly out.

I stumbled over it again at SuperCheap Auto. It's called Brite Shine, and made by a company called Maserati in New York. Expensive name, cheap product.

Do yourself a favour........
