Congratulations and welcome to Rotary!
I absolutely love driving my 8 but I'm constantly full of anxiety about the engine failing. Thank God for an aftermarket warranty. Hopefully you have availability to purchase one.

Make sure to ask for a compression test before signing anything.

Good luck

even if it was built late in 2003, the first RX8 model was introduced as a 2004 model. Check the vin and see what it is titled as. And get that compression test before proceeding with any RX8 purchase and especially an older one.

I'll do that.. also getting a autocover with the car through my loan officer. so if the engine DOES die... I pay 500 dollars for a new engine.. ..

thanks for the replies lads

Wellington.. Ptown to be precise

yeah Turbo is more like going to the fun park imo..

took the car for a blatt. very happy with it..
so easy to slip over the speed limit with it too..
clutch was Very different to my clutch on the vr4, its much harder than the 8's
must say gonna take some getting used to. will have the car on Wednesday.
fill the tank to the brim and wash her down thoroughly .

what was weird was... the fact I can rev to 9 grand lol... just felt so damn foreign after all these years of piston engines..
