Nope!

Have consider other ECU replacement but for medium term I think MM's map/firmware suit what I need (remove speed limit, OMP and fan speed changes, new map)

If you want to go down the Accessport route, then I have a brand new one thats never been hooked up to a car, that you can buy if you want. I would like around $500 NZ for it. or I also have a PowerMod piggy back computer that you could have for the same price.
Anyway have a think about it.
Or it might be worth waiting until Brettus has got the Mazdaedit software sorted out, and hopefully he will be able to tune other RX8's remotely with that.

I am changing my mine after reading multiple threads regarding Jeff's business and what accessport can do.

I guess I need to think about what I want from ecu flashing. Sounds like mazdaedit can do similar thing.

Hi nzmkey
No problem regarding the Accessport.
I think once Brett has got the Mazdaedit software sorted out, that would be the best way to go, and probably by far the cheapest.
Brett has tuned my car and does a very good job. But I also have a Protuner software like his, so that lets him tune mine remotely.
Hopefully he will be able to sort out the new Mazdaedit software soon and that will allow him to help out quite a few more people.

This may be true. Mazdaedit may end up being the best way to tune your car. I have an AP (broken atm) and this may still be one of the better ways to monitor the car (ex. for mayber the scanguage) and to upload a new tune.
The Mazdaedit is probably even a better option for non-N.Am. and S2 owners.
