Today they checked my car for both recalls (even tho i was only in for 1), i told them my brakes were squeeling - so they put new brake pads, and they checked to c i got the new flashy thingy. they washed my car and vacumed it. I gots no complaints wit em.
So this was all done as part of the recall?
No cost at all?
Can you copy the receipt that they give you and post as a pdf?
It would be good ammo for when I get my car done at the 30k service pre Nats trip.

Laurence, my car is booked with Grand Prix in Aspley for the recall. I mentioned the brake squeal again as well as difficult start...lets see how they respond.

I may need to get some ammunition as well if they decline these defects.

Ok, im too lazy to call consumer affairs......

I did however call mazda and got a free loan car if i need it.

Booked in tomorrow morning at 8am

My car is booked in for the starter upgrade. The service manager mentioned that if a customer reports difficulty starting, they will do the upgrade. I got the impression though that they would not have offered it up had I not asked about it.

maybe zip it and compress it to the max..... or resize the picture

EDIT:
recall went well today. Michael and James from Rockdale service centre were awesome to deal with...
had a ti grey active-matic 6 for a day.... drives well, but the interior isnt at the rx-8 quality... would love the centre tri-air vents for the 8 though :D

anyway,
lower control arms are fine
did the insulation for the fuel tank + re-flash
fixed the squeaky brakes
steering column rattles are gone for the timebing
starter motor is on order
rear door lock is on order
going back for warranty works next friday :D
and they believed it is dark orange :D :p

[QUOTE=EZZY]
fixed the squeaky brakes

Did they replace the pads or use the so called anti squeal gunk? that still makes the brakes squeak.

Stupid place to put recall stickers - they should be under the bonnet somewhere.. By the time we get to the 6th recall that door openning is going to look awful..

From a resale perspective it is crazy...
"What are those stickers for?"
"Recalls"
"But there's so many - what are they for"
"This one is for the exploding fuel tank, this one is the self ejecting lower ball joint and..."
"Aaaarrrrrrggghhhh" <sound of customer running very fast> <trip> <Bang> <crash> <Screech>
"I wonder why they do that???"

It's to mark that you have been recalled ezzy.

No big deal.

So unless you see your 20's go rolling away from the car when driving,

then be concerned! :D

Yeah they did the same thing to my car at 20k service, 28k now and still squealing.
I am going to insist on a better fix at my 30k service before the Nats.
