for those of you who do not like loud air intake filters just change you stock one with a K&N
it gives you a bit more getr up and go at the 3000rpm rather than at 4000rpm with the stock filter and those cone ones are just toooooo loooooud

I wouldn't mind abit of noise from the cone. I've got my K&N intake already, waiting till after tuesday to install it after the 10k service.

Talking

INSTALLED!
Took an hour or 2. I'm no genius with this stuff however good instructions and perfect fitted parts make the task a breeze.
Just got my service done and idle was smooth as (with latest flash, guy says one week old but he doesnt know what flash it is ) but with filter, idle was a little rough. A slight acceleration and the intake screams, but you'll barely notice its there whilst cruising.
under full acceleration, u can hear a loud howl all the way to 6000rpm. Then from there to redline,it opens up and barks right through your ears!
In terms of power, there isnt much feel of gain, but it seems like it lacks low down power but theres a little shove in the top end.

Overall, this mod isnt one to take up if your looking for massive gains, if any at all, but if you'd like a loud emphasis on your intake note, then go for it! It turns heads!

Just got the K&N intake today after getting a JIC exhaust put in a few days ago....considering taking the intake back out...it's just too freakin loud...I wanted to add a little something to my JIC exhaust, but the K&N is overboard. I'm considering maybe just replacing the original intake filter with the K&N drop in replacement. Noticed little power gain, no problem at idle. My car has 400 miles on it so I'm still in the "break in" period. I'm sure when it's done breaking in, the car will sound even louder because I'll start reving to redline.

I don't like really loud intakes... there's nothing worse than a car slowly accelerating but sounding like it's trying really really hard.

It's quiet until you get it past 4500 rpm. If you shitf before, then it's almost like stock without all the madness. I've decided to keep the intake for at least a few hundred miles. I figure I would get the same money selling it now vs. with a few hundred miles on it.
