I made up the new 2012 Mystery Tour stickers today, so they are already to go.
My car is still in bits at the moment, so hopefully I will get that finished in the next week or so.
Also have to shift down to Whangarei next week, to look for some work and still look at running our Orchard up in the Far north as well.
Looks like a lot of work coming up.
Have fun

Hey Scott, that sounds great, we will look forward to meeting your brother.
Make sure you bring that camera along again, your photos from the last event were great.
Hopefully someone will bring along a HD video camera as well, would be good to see some video content of the event.

Hi guys, i was wondering what time the tour will end. I have a 21st to go to that night and might still come and just leave a bit early. Also what have people decided about any rotaries??? because when i talk to tony @ RX7 heaven (as he also has a turbo rx8) i might tell him to spread the word. but ill make sure they rspv here so we have a fair indication on how many are coming.

Hey bluerx .There will be an opportunity to leave the tour at around 2.00 if you want to . Otherwise we are looking for a finish at around 4.00 within 1/2 hr from Auckland .

We were just looking at it being an RX8 thing at this stage . Around 10 cars will be enough to make things interesting.

Hey Bluerx
Tell Tony to bring his RX8 along, as we are always interested in seeing another turbo RX8.
Let him know that there will be at least one or two other turbo RX8's as well.
Also if he knows of any other RX8s that are interested in coming along, that would be great.
Brettus is doing a great job of putting together the day, so we want to see a good turnout of cars.
Don't forget to have at least two people in your car, as it will make it a lot easier for you to find your way around if you have someone to help you while your driving.

Hope everyone is looking out for RX8's driving around, let them know about the 2012 RX8 Mystery tour.
Only a week and a half to go, so don't forget to give your cars a good clean.
Hopefully I will have mine back together this weekend.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all again, and hopefully a few new people.
Looks like Brettus has found us some really nice roads to play on ( sorry drive carefully on ), so that should be good.
Have fun

mine is too, even if i go to the dairy 2min down the road its on. removing that 10km/h buffer is bs, and that is definite money gathering.

My rx8 is going into the shop on Monday. Hopefully its nothing too serious and I will still be able to come along.

The coolant level warning light has been coming on intermitently, I figured it was just a dodgy level sensor, which appears to be a common fault, but yesterday I noticed the temperature gauge fluctuating quite a bit more than usual, not into the red or anything (I kind of babyed it home after I noticed though). It was due a service anyway, so I'll get the coolant system checked out thoroughly while they are doing that.

/\ if the level is ok then you have a dodgy sensor . I unplugged mine 5 yrs ago for this reason.

Hey Scott

Hope its nothing to major with your car, we certainly would like to see you at the Mystery tour.

Anyone heard of G-force magazine yet? This is the mag I'm hoping will come and do an article on the RX8 event. Their next magazine is out on Feb 12 so look out for it.

Here is a link to there website - http://www.g-force.co.nz/

Have a good look at the cars featured in this next mag, might be a good read.

Off home now to get the RX8 back together.

I'm not too worried about the light, but the temp fluctuations made me nervous. It's due for a service anyway, so i'll get it checked out. Could do without the expense with all the back to school bills at the moment, but thats just life isn't it?

Dodgy level sensor, leaking water pump, and cracked radiator......ouch!

But I'm probably lucky I got it checked out before it left me on the side of the road with a fried engine.

Might not be able to afford the gas to come on saturday

Scott
thats not good news about your car, but these things happen I suppose.
We would still be keen to see you at the event, and I hope you can make it.
Beg and borrow a tank of gas, thats what I'm going to have to do.

bluerx , do you know if Tony from RX7 Heaven was going to come along?

Do the 1/2 day - should get away with 2/3 tank or less .
