Weight of Stock RX8 Parts
It's in here, read the thread, you'll also see where I asked for the front page to be updated, sometimes you have to work for an answer, can't always be handed to you on a platter

PPF with heat shield 31 lbs +/- a pound. (including vibration damper of 3 or so)
Driveshaft 10 lbs (6 spd)
differential entire assembly with mount 81 lbs
I am going to add stuff even though the first post does not get updated. At least you can search the thread to find things.

that driveshaft sure feels heavier than 10# though, kind of surprising
15 lbs. I had it on my former RX-8. It was also posted here back then. I think the stock is twice the weight, 30 lbs. I remember it falling on my chest when I dislodged it.
Weight on catless midpipe? Ap duel Rez.? Cant find but I'm assuming less then rp supercat which is 15lbs.
Also weight on hks hi power?
Just been super couious.
Thx.

No, the spare & mount is an accessory item. You would need to list the total weight of those components separate of the other stuff that came standard from the factory. Ideally you might list the total for the tools/jack as one item, the tire inflator kit as a second, and the spare/mount parts as a third.
thinking of removing it to cut the weight off front wheel axle.
^ the purpose of the 'bumper reinforcement'...
"The front box-section reinforcement bar is welded to the octagonal-sectioned "crash cans". The reinforcement/crash can assembly is bolted onto the front longitudinal frames."
"Do you need it?" Probably not, unless you get in a front-ender...but it may provide some front end stiffness to the frame as well.
